“This was by far the most comfortable bed we slept in! The whole property was wonderful! In the evening we sat on the rocking chair with bottle of Jack and watched fireflies! Very quiet and relaxing! The only confusing bit was the breakfast, the booking it says it was included but there was no breakfast... unless it was make your own as there was some food in the fridge. “We really enjoyed staying at the Franklin House! It was comfortable, room was private, breakfast was very fresh and delicious, and Rachel was an excellent host.Cowan is a quiet railroad town - the railroad museum was very nice; John gave us an excellent tour. We enjoyed exploring both Sewanee and Winchester nearby.All in all, a relaxing, comfortable weekend visit - Thanks Rachel!”

“Overall our experience was good especially for the price. It was very clean. The people were nice. We did have a slight confusion on who was checking us in and which entrance we were to use this was all resolved quickly. Fortunately, we did need to get up early and get going. The street noise at 7am would have you out of bed regardless. The noise from the train wasn't an issue at all for us. Me and spouse would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone passing through. ”
