The home was wonderful with only 2 exceptions. The as advertised 4 queen beds had full sized mattresses on them. We measured them for accuracy. Also, the living room had 2 sofas but only seating for 4 people. Different sofas would be more conducive to seating up to 8 guests. Other than that, everything was new, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our month stay.

Location in Marathon was great. Spacious home with room for us to spread out. Enjoyed using the kayaks in the canal and ocean. There was a problem with the pool heater, and although we did go in the pool, it was a little chilly. Manager was prompt in sending a pool technician to the home, however, a part needed to be ordered which delayed it getting fixed while we were there. Was nice having a bathroom to use by the pool to avoid going back in the house. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Vacation Spot

We loved staying here! It was very clean, nice, and a ton of space for two kids under 3! We loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was the best and very clean! We will be coming back and staying here again!!

Marathon rental

Beautiful house, very clean! Our 21ft boat worked well but navigating out to open water is very tricky. Outside area was great with pool and kitchen area well equipped. We like to cook and used the kitchen a lot. I would suggest better cooking utensils/pans. We went out and bought cookie sheets bc there weren’t any. Kitchen not well equipped. Plastic plates to eat on that could definitely be replaced. Plastic cups/bowls had cracks in them. Many cups leaked. Check out process.. why not leave condiments, and paper goods for next renter? I hated throwing out the little bits of mustard, salad dressing etc that was hardly used.

40th Wedding Anniversary

Beautiful home, close to everything. Well appointed and exceptionally clean. We were there while Milton was passing in the Gulf. Excellent communication and attention to storm prep. Highly recommend.

Great location and floor plan

House floor plan is perfect, offering privacy for all guests. Canal with boat access is very convenient but if you aren't familiar with the local waters, you may want to get some advice from locals about how to get your boat in the canal. It is a little tricky with a very narrow access but once you learn it, it is a breeze.

Great place!

Just as advertised. Wonderful place and EXTREMELY clean upon check in. Jessy was our contact, and she made check-in and check- out very easy. We had 4 couples. Each had own bedroom and bathroom. Marathon is a great location and easy to drive down to key west or to upper keys. I’d recommend this property very highly.

Nice home

The home was nice and had plenty of room. I believe they overprice a charge for cleaning since he expects so much for you to do it had everything that we needed. It did have dust bunnies behind the couch and on the light fixtures. The rest of the home was very clean. The hostess Jessica was rude from the beginning. But she did take care of getting someone to come over ASAP for a couple things when we arrived and later to have the pool cleaned.

Quick getaway with friends

A few issues with the place but the response time was great. The canal is narrow so getting the boat in and out was time consuming but manageable. The beds seemed smaller than a queen and with 8 adults the pool got smaller quick. Nice place.

Very nice house

We loved the house. Jessie, the manager was super great to deal with. The house was very clean, the pool was clean. It is located close to grocery stores and attractions. Boat dock was good. There is an outdoor kitchen with bbq grill, tables, plenty of chairs. The only thing we ladies wished for was a full length mirror. I would highly recommend this house.

As advertised, happy to see it was as nice in person

Property was very clean and well maintained. The attention to detail was appreciated, welcome basket was a nice touch. We enjoyed the pool area and outdoor kitchen. We especially liked the 4 bed/4 bath en-suite, one of the main reasons we booked this house. The location is on a canal so you have to drive to get to the beach. We enjoyed the local restaurants.

Wonderful!

This property was amazing! It fit our family perfectly. Upon entering it smelled clean and fresh, all bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and neatly made up. We did not have and occasion to contact the property manager because everything was in order from check in to check out. We vacation in Marathon yearly and this house will always make our short list. Thank you for sharing your property with our family.

Beautiful Vacation Home - Some Minor Helpful Suggestions

The property was very nice in terms of finishes and decor. The reclining couches, kitchen area, and beds were very comfortable, the pool area was a lot of fun between the corn hole, basketball net for the pool, and wonderful outdoor kitchen area with full refrigerator and lots of parking. Important feedback for owners, management company, and future guests: There was not enough seating for 8 people. We brought the deck chairs in for additional seating to accommodate our family of 8. The listing notes that there is a 50’ dock but unless you back in or out of the canal, the maximum boat that can turn around in that canal is only 25’-26’ and the water at the end of the canal is only 3’ deep. Three days prior to check out, we received an email with the following check out instructions: (summarized) Please clean all dishware and put away Please start and finish at least two loads of laundry before departure. Comforters and towels be washed first. All Linens and towels not washed must be placed in front of the washer. please do not take of pillow or mattress protectors. Fridge: throw away any opened items that you cannot take with you. You may leave any unopened items and we will dispose of them. Grills: If you have a BBQ grill and used it during your stay please clean it and make sure propane is off. Propane is paid forward and we ask for you to refill the tanks if used during your stay. You may take the tank to Win Dixie or Publix and ask for a tank exchange. Trash: make sure all trash is removed from the house. We have stayed at a number of high end vacation rentals and though we always make it a practice to strip beds and do a courtesy cleanup prior to checking out, we have never been required to do the job for which we paid $475. This was all required to be done prior to check out which was at 10:00am. We realize this may be a management requirement and not an owner requirement, however, we felt it was over the top and made out last morning very stressful. I hope you appreciate our feedback. We had a lovely stay at the property but weren’t prepared for such a specific and arduous check out process.
