Myself and young adult kids spent the week here and it was the best vacation rental ever! The house was immaculate, extremely clean and comfy! The beds were he better than home! The swim spa was amazing as well! The kitchen was supplied with more than what we were used to for a vacation. The Canal and dock were also amazing, we caught some Mangrove Snapper for dinner the last day. Manatees visited us almost daily too! I could go on for days about how amazing this property is! We were sad to leave and will absolutely plan to return.

Beautiful property well maintained and very nicely thought out. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. Clean and quiet perfect for relaxing. Sombrero Beach is 10 minutes to paradise. This property met all of our adult needs. And the neighbors were very nice. The patio underneath and the sitting area across The street by the canal was heavenly. Plenty of room in the house with lots of comfort. No complaints here!

We had a great time and enjoyed the house. It was nice and felt spacious and welcoming. We only brought one vehicle and a boat. Their was plenty of room for parking front of house "could easily fit two vehicles on concrete" plus plenty on side of house for boat trailer. We didn't have no complaints.

Cozy Getaway Spot for boaters

Boot Key Bungalow was the cleanest, stylish and most comfortable place we’ve stayed in Marathon over the last 15 years, while coming down for lobstering season.First and most important for our stay was the boat and trailer parking situation. The dock and parking spaces were plenty big enough to accommodate our 28 ft boat and the 30 ft trailer. It was also very convenient to the boat ramp. The bungalow itself had a very cozy indoor space. The beds, pillows, linens, and towels were all high quality resort like. So needless to say, we slept great and enjoyed showering after spending days out on the water. The couch was very comfortable and overall the place had most of the amenities you would have in your own home.There is tons of outdoor entertainment space and outdoor seating in the shade. We got the most use out of the boating area, but never found the time to relax downstairs by the grill or in the spa.Things not included that would have made our stay more comfortable would have been your standard supply of hospitable goods like a bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand lotion and a starter amount of coffee stuff. The kitchen is well stocked with what seems to be spices and oils that others have left. Only thing I could have used that I didn’t buy or bring was sugar.

Location

The location was great for us. You can easily visit a majority, if not all of the “keys” in 7 days. We hit everything from Key West and all the way to Islamorada! The house was clean and spacious for the 4 adults we had. We did spend the majority of our time out and about. The outdoor area across the road was relaxing and we did indeed get to see the manatees come through! Highly recommend renting the tiki pontoon from Key Colony rentals, as we enjoyed a full day on and in the ocean. If you are looking for something that is affordable and with a group (we went in June), that’s in the middle of the keys, this is a beautiful place. Owner is very timely with responses and getting you all the information and access needed for the property. Definitely worth the stay!

Perfect home for Family Vacation!

This home was beautiful and perfect for our family getaway. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch, card games in the downstairs hangout and relax time in the swim spa. We saw a nurse shark and manatee off the dock. Lots of great restaurants close and stores for groceries etc.

Fabulous home

Peaceful spot at the end of a short street. Such attention to detail by the owner with everything you could need. The beds are super comfy as is the huge cosy sofa in the lounge. A fabulous week in a fabulous house. Thank you.

Great place for 6 adults

Lovely home in a great location. Easy to ride a bike to grocery stores or Sombrero Beach. Close to the 7 mi bridge. Canal empties into Boot Key, so there's some shelter in the water for your boat before getting to the ocean. Sitting area next to the canal is really nice. Swim spa great for 6 people as a hottub or cool it off for a small but refreshing pool. We ate most of our meals in the screen porch or in the area under the house. Kathy and Chris were lovely hosts. Instructions for checking in and out were very clear. Highly recommend.

Manatees!

First time visiting the Keys and this property was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Very clean with lots of amenities ( kayaks, swim spa, gas grill, etc). Access to the canal and the use of kayaks was a huge plus! Manatees came right up to the dock several times while we were there!! Took the kayaks out to the mangroves and really enjoyed seeing the birds and sea life. The kayaks don't have seat bacs, but we used the lifejackets for that and that worked well.The only "negative" of the trip (and not anything owner had control over) was the construction noise coming from the canal one over from us...sounded like a jackhammer and it went on all day every day we were there. Didn't stop us from enjoying our trip, but was a bit annoying.

Spotless house on quiet, dead end street

We loved staying at Kathy’s house in Marathon. There is so much to enjoy on the property. The house was simply set up, with all the comforts of home. You do not need anything but your clothes and toiletries. The kitchen is fully-stocked, shower and beach towels are included. We spent our nights in the swimspa and it was so unbelievably relaxing after our busy days. We would listen to music, stargazing. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. The sun rises on that side of the house and eating breakfast and reading were some peaceful moments we had together.If we weren’t in the house, we were across the street in the beach chairs or out in the kayaks. It was nice to not have to rush around anywhere. Kathy’s house is very close to Sombrero Beach, my favorite beach. We had a much needed, restful vacation and Kathy’s house perfected the trip.

Perfect place for family with adult children

My husband and I and our adult children loved our stay. The property has plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out and it was very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the swimspa and the screen porch! We saw a family of manatees and a pretty big shark in the canal! Highly Recommended!

Amazing house, great location

We've stayed in Marathon at several locations and this is our favorite. The house was clean, checking in and out was easy, and the host was very responsive. Swimspa was a bonus. Close to great restaurants, a short drive to Bahia Honda State Park, and 1 hr drive to Key West.

Enjoyed our stay!

There was a little something for everyone…quiet property/neighborhood for relaxing, kayaking, fishing, etc. The property was well maintained and in a great centralized location in the Keys. The check-in/out process was easy to follow and communication with the property owner was prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
