“The property and manager, are amazing. The house is beautiful, private and offers the perfwct jumping off point to enjoy the surrounding areas. The pool and roodtop deck are definitely amazing. The manager is reaponsive and kind. He even went out of his way to bring my husband some aloe after he suffered a burn. The o ly downside is that the owners are not keeping up on repairs. We had very few exterior lights working, including the pool lights, and the garbage disposal was broken along with...

“I will miss the views, their delicious breakfast and coffee every morning, but most of all their kindness. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable. Hope to come back soon! ”

“This was one of the most unique and memorable places we’ve ever stayed. The treehouse feels completely immersed in nature while still being comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, soft natural light coming through the windows, and seeing monkeys and parrots right outside was an experience we’ll never forget. The location was incredible — an easy walk to Playa Avellanas beach, restaurants, and local shops, but the property itself felt peaceful, private, and...

“Baliyana Lodge is a slice of paradise - beautifully landscaped grounds among the native trees on a hillside overlooking a valley towards the ocean. Remote but only 15 mins to the beach and 25 mins to Tamarindo. The hosts could not have been nicer, wonderful, healthy breakfast included, quiet, peaceful and serene location. The three cozy bungalows are comfortably appointed with understated elegance and simple luxury. A/C, awesome tile shower with great water pressure, plenty of shelving, nice...

“Yes, very refreshing.”

“The house os even nicer than in the pics. Extremely well equiped. Steve is a fantastic host. Cant wait to come back. Thank you!!”

“My friend and I spent a wonderful 10 days here. The house is well equipped with everything you need for cooking, games, chilling. The pool is amazing and Marian is an exceptional host, easy to communicate with and going over and above the necessary required. The highlight was the monkeys, who moved through the field in behind a couple of times and gave us some great viewing opportunities. Definetly recommend. ”

“Wonderful stay but just remember when you are out more in the woods you will get more bugs. A few were inside but mostly well protected. Roads a little bumpy coming in.”

“We absolutely loved our stay here and did not want to leave. The property feels like a private tropical retreat right in the heart of Playa Avellanas. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The location was perfect — an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and local shops, yet the property itself felt peaceful, quiet, and secluded behind the gated entrance. We especially loved walking through the mangrove boardwalk to the beach every morning and watching the sunsets in the...

“We stayed at this house with a private pool and had a mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the house was spacious, nicely laid out, and the pool was great. We also really appreciated the flexibility, as we were able to arrive one day earlier on very short notice. The neighbors/caretakers next door were incredibly kind and helpful – always quick to assist and even bringing us fresh mangoes, which was such a lovely gesture. However, the cleanliness could have been better, and the...
