Wonderful, spacious property in the heart of Wolf Laurel!

Large, spacious house with plenty of room. The house is very well maintained and stocked, and the owners and easy and pleasant to work with ... we will definitely be staying there again!

Beautiful view

I hate leaving a "bad" review. This property has a breathtaking view and it's a very quiet location which was just what we wanted. There were some problems from check in that put a sour taste on this property. The listing stated air conditioning. When we arrived the air was off so we called Bobby. He said the property doesn't include air conditioning. Long story short, the owner had turned the air off. The owners finally agreed to turn it on with a limit of 70 degrees. The master sink didn't drain. I shared that with Bobby when he came to turn the air on. He said he would be over the next day to fix it and he never came back in the 9 days we were there. The master shower still had a lot of hair in the drain that I cleaned out, 2 used razors and a used bar of soap. There were no working screens on the double doors except the one in the master not the sitting room. We had bugs, bees, flies, mosquitoes and nearly 2 bats in the house with no fly swatter to be found. We had never experienced this with a VRBO. If you rent a high end property you expect things to be as the listing states, clean and working properly.

Lovely Place!

Our family of eight enjoyed our stay at Kalani’s nest! The property was so beautiful, clean and comfortable. Amazing views from decks on two levels. The beds were very comfortable and the chef’s kitchen was stocked with everything you need and top end appliances. Only wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely come again.

Great house!

Enjoyed the stay. Most stocked kitchen we have ever stayed in! Property manager very responsive and helpful. Drive up to the property is a little daunting at first. Peaceful retreat. Beds in the main bedrooms were super comfortable! Hot tub was great. We played pickleball at the activity center. Had kids with us age 10-15 and all had fun playing pool, darts, etc.

Perfect Weekend Get Away

The home has everything you need for a great vacation weekend. Bobby communicated very well leading up to the our trip and helped with any questions that came along the way. Overall this was the best home I have stayed at in the NC mountains. Would definitely like to come back and see more of the area.

We could not have asked for more during our Thanksgiving family vacation. This house had it all...kitchen gadgets, game room, plenty of space and breathtaking views! The owner, Bobby, lives nearby and can help out when issues arise. This is a top notch property with a top notch owner! We will definitely be back!

We really liked the place. We enjoyed the fact of the elevator which assisted in the moving of luggage upstairs. The views were great from the upper deck. With a family of 7 staying there were plenty of bathrooms for all to use. The game room was very well set up. I just wish there was more flat area in the back yard for the little one to run around and the fire pit was not as well set up as I thought it would be. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Great mountain cabin

Overall an amazing cabin and the stay was perfect. Awesome layout and had a great setup to chill. Perfect if you are looking to get away and maybe spend a day in town. This place is located quite far from population so plan your meals if you are used to going out to eat.

This house was fantastic!

We absolutely enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. Everything was very clean and inviting. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed . The drive to the house was a bit steep and I was glad we had rented a 4x4. The beds were very comfortable but were also very tall. Overall our stay was incredible and if we meet in that area again, we would love to stay in your mountain home .

Stunnig Views

The views from the upstairs balcony is stunning. Sitting outside and listening to nothing but the wind was what we were looking for. This house goes beyond the typical rental in that it has a TV in every room, very nice bedding and a kitchen with just about any appliance/cooking utensil you can think of. This is the perfect place to relax, just remember to bring all of your supplies/food with you because the nearest town is a bit away.

Amazing house amazing time

This is our second time vacationing at this property. We simply love it! The house is impeccably clean, it has a chef’s kitchen with everything you need to make a gourmet meal, the views are breathtaking, the entertainment room is great and Downtown Asheville is about a 35 minute drive. We love coming to this property and will return soon.

Never heard the wind howl like that

It's a great property and liked the house. The manager was great to communicate with, and gave detailed instructions. We cooked a complete Thanksgiving meal with everything that was with the house. I would have liked to have known about grocery stores in the area, Publix etc. but we found the stores anyway...thanks!

Family gatherings work well here

Of course there are always going to be a few annoying things that don't work in any rental, but this place is a gem, especially if your family is older and can't navigate stairs so well. (The oven didn't work. There was a countertop oven that replaced the non-working oven. And there was a screen door that was broken downstairs). This place makes up for that with a fully stocked kitchen- pots, pans, coffee pot, dishes, silverware, grill, etc. The view is incredible. Sometimes the mountains seem like they are on fire. Hence smoky mountains... also the cabin is just a couple miles to the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway where we found the most beautiful waterfall. On the ride to the cabin, you are greeted by deer along your path. Really great hiking, really great view, really great and large cabin, stays cool and quiet, very relaxing. What a privilege to rent.

A true mountain haven

12 of us (ranging in age from 4-79) traveled from 3 states to meet for the first time in 2 1/2 years. We spent 5 nights and 4 days in this beautiful, well equipped mountain home and loved every second! Our host was responsive and very helpful with all questions about the house and surrounding areas. He even came out to clear the lawn for us so the kiddos could run around! We ventured out for gem mining in nearby Spruce Pine (which was awesome!) but would have been perfectly content not leaving the home. I would definitely recommend getting to the house during the day as the roads further up the mountain are gravel and can be a bit steep and hard to navigate if you're not used to mountain driving. Also, make sure your GPS is bringing you to the front of the country club- we ended up at the back entrance and the roads that direction were difficult to navigate- there was a section that was one way and thankfully there were no cars coming the other direction! You can NOT beat the location of this house or the amenities. The hike up to Bald Mountain was fairly easy and absolutely breathtaking- you can see the house from the summit! We took our binoculars and were waving at our parents from the top while they waved at us from the back deck🙂 This vacation was wonderful and everything we could have asked for and more. The home offered a perfect reunion spot and a sense of tranquility that we all needed. We were able to share big family meals and bird watch and spent hours sitting together on the multiple decks watching the birds and at night basking in the stars. THANK YOU for this amazing experience!
