Owner never responded to multiple requests for the rental agreement after payment. On check-in day he was responsive, but after that he answered some requests but ignored others. It was in the 30's overnight, and cabin heat was not turned on before our arrival. It took 12 hours for the cabin to heat up to 70 degrees from 52. Even after the main floor was heated to 70 degrees, the basement was very cold and space heaters were needed in the bedrooms; bathroom was then cold unless a bedroom space heater was put in there. Several lights were out, 2 of which were addressed. Basement shower did not have non-slip tile on floor of shower. Basement bedrooms not up to code (no escapement windows in case of fire). Steps to basement were not to code - one step section was narrower than code and differed in width from the other section, causing family member to fall. Outlets in basement did not have a cover - not a problem for us adults, but problematic if children are playing down there. As others have said, the views are fantastic. Kitchen was fully furnished with cooking needs and dishware. One description of the bedrooms in the basement refers to them as Queen bedrooms. One is a full size mattress, not a Queen, and was very hard. The couple that slept in that room had difficulty sleeping. The place could present so much better if it was kept in better condition - signs of wear and tear and lack of thorough cleaning (corners of floors were dingy and dust build up on baseboards).
