“Loved this historic home located in a peaceful picturesque location yet minutes from so much to see and do. Great opportunity to expose grandkids to how things were 220 years ago and explain significance of a spring house back then. Sitting on the big porch watching birds and kids was a treat for this grandma. ”

“The property is well located. The room was reasonably comfortable and the host provided some nice conveniences such as picnic plates and cutlery. On the downside, you WILL hear any night owl neighbors in the unit upstairs. Also, the flooring level change as you approach the bathroom is a bit of a tripping hazard. ”

“The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.”
