We had a fantastic time in Mathews and this house was the perfect place to stay.The house is exactly as described in the listing and the photos are accurate. It’s very clean and spacious. Bedrooms are large and beds very comfortable! We had everything we needed to cook some meals and the table was large enough for everyone to eat and play games around. Chip was an excellent host and very responsive during the booking process and during our stay. The location was great, close to Haven Beach which was very nice and relaxing and not crowded at all. There are some really great shops and restaurants in walking distance. The restaurant and shop owners were all very friendly too. We loved the Seafood Shack, Southwind Pizza, Salty Dog and had an excellent breakfast at Howard Dooley Cafe. We had a fantastic day out on the water with Captain Taylor from Backwater Expeditions. Mathews is a great little town and this was the perfect home for our family vacation. We would love to go back and stay again!

We had a terrific experience!

This was a very pleasant place for our family of 6 to stay, including our dog. A nice surprise was that the photos very accurately reflected the home itself, which isn't always the case. It was as clean and comfortable as advertised! The home has a very Chesapeake Bay feel (which we loved), beds and furniture were comfortable, and the hosts were exceptionally communicative and friendly. We would seek out this home on our next visit to the area, glad to be repeat visitors. Thank you!

Fantastic vacation

We had such a great vacation at this property. It was very clean and very comfortable. The main beach was just 10 minutes away and lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The owners were great to work with. We will definitely be coming back.

2nd annual early Christmas

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. Plenty of extra seating and large dining table to host our family get together. Host even provided a pre-lit tree.Home is warm, welcoming and clean.Look forward to returning next year.

Absolutely wonderful!

The location, home and amenities were all wonderful. I am all about higher end comfy beds and bedding -- they were dreamy! The home was clean with all the amenities a fine hotel would have. The location was awesome -- an easy walk to town with its farmers market, grocery store and restaurants. I can see coming back with the entire family as the back yard was large and private with a fire pit and games for all. Lastly, thank you for the goodie basket in the refrigerator :)

Family vacation

Bay Dreamin is a great property. Beautifully updated home, very well equipped and clean. The owners have taken the time to provide a great selection of toys for kids and furkids. We were able to spend 4 days with our son and 5 grandkids who live in Gloucester. Many fun games of Corn Hole and Uno. Excellent cooking facilities. We will be back.

Bay dreamin is a dream come true!

The house is beautiful and cozy. The beds are heavenly and the backyard is perfect for evening meals, corn hole, and the magnolia tree is beautiful! Chip was easy to contact as well as his friendly wife. The location is perfect easy to walk to Main Street but far enough to be considered outskirts. Close to beaches, quiet, and within driving distance for a day trip to Williamsburg, Yorktown and other attractions. Recommend 10 out of 10!

Super cute and comfy home! Spacious rooms and kitchen, perfect for a large family. Great location to all shopping and restaurants. Nice amenities inside and out. I would recommend this property highly if you're traveling to this area or close by Williamsburg.

Great location!

We came to the area for our granddaughter’s graduation and it was only minutes from the high school. It was in close proximity to quite a few good restaurants and downtown Mathews! The host was quick to reply to any questions or comments that we had. If the opportunity presented itself, we would definitely stay here again!

Quick Stay Near Yorktown

We had a nice, comfortable stay in Mathews. Our daughter graduated from USCG BM A School in Yorktown, about 35min from this property. She stayed one night with us, along with my husband, my father in law, two teens and two dogs. The house is very dog friendly with supplies and a big yard. Clean, comfortable place to hang out! Awesome communication with host! Great breakfast at Howard-Dooley Cafe just a few minutes away.

Lovely all around

This stay was superb...so much so that we tried to extend. Unfortunately the days we wanted were already booked but the communication with the owners was nearly instantaneous and so appreciated. The home is comfy and exactly as represented in the pics. The yard is enormous which was appreciated by us and our pup. The walk to downtown Mathews was short and the town is sweet. If in the area in the future we will absolutely try to stay at this home again.

Great location near the Chesapeake Bay and small towns full of character. The house was nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the small touches, such as the tea on the cute little hot drink bar.

Relaxing vacation!

Very clean, comfortable, easy to find and in a great neighborhood. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely be staying here again. There was plenty of room for us all and the kids had a good time playing in the backyard. The beds were comfy as well!

Early Christmas

we arrived after dark and there were lights on in the house. Felt so welcoming. on Sunday we hosted a family Christmas with a buffet meal and gifts. I picked this home because of the kitchen and all the seating. Also because I needed a back up plan in case my dog sitter plans fell through, which they did. Thank you so much for allowing me to bring our dog last minute. The back yard is huge. If it had not been raining Sunday there would have been some cornhole going on. Loved your home, enjoyed. Thank You.

Perfect place to stay for Thanksgiving

This place met our needs in every way. We were visiting family close by for Thanksgiving. Lovely accommodations for my husband and me, our two adult children and their significant others, with a bedroom to spare. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was easy to work in with everything we needed. The dining room was comfortable and pretty. Our hosts were friendly and responsive to all our questions. We would happily stay there again and highly recommend it.

Clean Easy stay with a toddler

Super clean. Great place to stay with a toddler and grandparents or other friends. Had everything you need for a stay with a young kid. Super convenient to food and beaches. Great yard. Perfect set up for a weekend getaway.
