Great getaway

The house was the perfect size for our family getaway. We loved the large windows so we could look out onto the lake every day. The outside area allowed us to enjoy the view of the lake when gathering together for conversation or meals.

Our group had a lovely two weeks in this home on quiet Lake Waubesa. Stephen is a great host - very responsive regarding questions or concerns.

Excellent lakeside rental with beautiful view

We had a week here and enjoyed every minute. Love views. Comfortable furniture. The shower is pretty small, but plenty of hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hosts are friendly and the checkout process is very reasonable. Overall a great stay!!!

This was a wonderful place to stay for a long-term rental. Close enough to Madison but far enough away. Perfect place to rent if needed to be in Madison area for an extended period of time. Would rent again. The only change I would suggest is, for a month long rental, could have used a few more utensils and smaller pots and pans to cook with. Ending up bring some of my own. Thanks for that great stay and communication.

9 days of lake fun

The property was ready for us. Was impressed by cleanliness. The view was great. Very relaxing. McFarland is a cute town. Stoughton only 10 minutes away. Loved it!

Lake Waubesa

Stunning views. There were 7 of us (5 adults, one teen and one 12-year old). Living room only seated 5. We had some floor sitters. Large kitchen which was very nice for seating and game playing. The 1.5 bathrooms were more of a bother than I thought they'd be. We had good weather and over all, it was a pleasant stay.

Lovely stay right on the lake!

We visited in late October, early November, so we didn't do much on the lake, but there is a cute park with a playground nearby! The house was clean and accommodating, even had a high chair for our use which was helpful with a 15 month old. We made all our meals in the house and found cooking utensils/dishes to be a little sporadic, but that was our only complaint. Stephen was a wonderful host who communicated clearly and quickly whenever we had questions! The view of the lake is gorgeous!

Nice home for experienced boaters/fisherpeople

The property itself was nice - very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the main room with large windows facing the lake where we could all gather & as weather allowed, it was nice to sit outside [we did have fun making s'mores one night using the fire pit]. The only issue we had was with the quality of the mattresses in the double and queen room -- we older adults had trouble sleeping comfortably. The king room and the bunk beds were comfortable. The kitchen was adequate, but did lack enough pots/pans, sharp knives, to cook any type of "fancy" meal, but we made do. Overall, I would recommend this home. The host was very responsive and communicative, and helped us novice boat lift users understand how to safely use that equipment.

Perfect for a family week of fun at the lake

We had a terrific time at this property. Everything was as advertised. We used the kayaks, the firepit, the dock, and enjoyed the beautiful view. It was also conveniently close to downtown Madison. Would definitely rent again!

Thanks for a great stay!

We had an excellent stay and enjoyed boating on Lake Waubesa for 6 solid days in spite of some occasional inclement weather. Easy boat launch close by with 4 ramps. House was great and very comfortable. Great kayaks and easy to launch and retrieve on the dock. Owner had great communication and made the stay very easy.

Lake Getaway

House and property were super clean. Comfortable and ample furniture inside and out. Good communication with owners. Had a great stay!
