The place was really nice — fresh, spacious, and in a great, family-friendly location. Most of the rooms were clean, but we did notice a few things that could use some attention. The upstairs bedroom and dining room had a little trash on the floor, and a couple of the white bedspreads had stains. The downstairs tub faucet was dripping, and a few lights were flickering — one in the upstairs bedroom and one over the kitchen sink. The toilet in the upstairs bathroom kept running until we jiggled the handle, and the small upstairs windows didn’t have curtains, stairs carpet need cleansing. The yard could’ve been cleaner, and the outside lighting looked a bit different from the pictures.Overall, we still had a great time and would stay again once those small issues are fixed.

October in Memphis

Perfect location for our family trip to visit family and include a lot of traditional Memphis experiences. We took a food tour around Beale St, went to the zoo, ate delicious ribs at The Rendezvous across from The Peabody Hotel, toured historical homes in Victorian Village, and had brunch at The Beauty Shop too. All of this was very close by and Overton Park is almost right across the street. The home is plenty large for a family and the only thing that wasn’t as expected was the patio which was missing all of the seat cushions and TV not working. Host was very responsive to questions about the property and very helpful as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Property and Sabrina Were Awesome

Stayed at this property with friends and family. House was as described, location is very close to Midtown + Beale street and the host (Sabrina) was very responsive. We had a small issue with small appliance not working and Sabrina immediately rectified the situation. I would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay here again. Great overall experience and appreciate the excellent treatment we received by the host. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Elvis tour.

We wanted to see Elvis birth place and Graceland and we decided to stay in memphis and Ride over to Tupelo.The home is Beautiful , Very inviting and Clean with Great water pressure and Showers. We were a little disappointed we could'nt get in for the first half hour. seems the cleaner locked the dead bolt and so the code meant nothing. took a half hour sitting in the drive way before someone finally called to help us get the key. Also you stated gas grill , so we brought our tank only to find a wobbly charcoal grill.. The security gate malfunctions does'nt want to open and closes on its own at times. The tv on the patio did'nt work either but the patio is nice for gathering. I traveled with my Fur baby and she spent the day after we arrived in the walnut Grove emergency hospital. Someone previous had dropped a sleeping aid and she found it. at 4.8 lbs it almost killed her. But the Vets at Walnut Grove are amazing and gave her the best of care, she was there 12 hrs. and good as new. It was easy to get to every attraction we wanted to visit from the home and felt very safe while there.

AVOID HERE!!!

Skip this stay! The owner was not willing to truthfully help when we stayed here. Confirmed what we needed would be met prior to booking, then all on that list was not met. When we tried to get assistance from the owner, nothing was remedied. At the end of the stay I tried to contact the host for a partial assistance due to the false listing and stay, a mere 100 dollars was all she wanted to assist with. Good ole Memphis, thanks for keeping your standards LOW.

Place was great!! Very cool, old school house close to anything you need. Clean and well equipped. Got to brush up on our billiards skills during the few down times we had. Highly recommend!

Chilly Experience x 3

I booked this property for our Thanksgiving trip. Upon arrival the entry code was not working, so I had to contact Sabrina. I was told to use the keys, and the code would be working later. Well later never happened. I did not like the fact that previous renters might be able to access property (if we were using the same keys that were in the lock box) We were unable to go on various excursions because we only had one key. The backyard was not accessible for parking because the code was connected to the gate and we had no code. The worst part of the stay was the heating. When we entered the home it was FREEZING!! We ran the heater from 11:00ish until 6:00 p.m. only to have the temperature rise 1 degree. We finally had to contact Sabrina to send a HVAC technician to come and work on the temperature. He left at approx 9:00 ish and we finally had heat. We were informed that the furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. The unit went out on two more occasions and we were freezing again. Luckily on Wednesday the outside temp was pleasant and we did not freeze from that point on. I contacted the owner when we returned and as of today we have not received a return call from her. The property was very nice, but this experience was satisfactory. Hopefully the owner will replace the furnce asap, because Memphis gets VERY cold in Dec, Jan, and February.

Nice!

Aside from a brief hiccup getting into the home, this was a great place for our family over fall break. The location was ideal for things we wanted to do downtown, in Midtown, and further East. Great layout for playing games, watching movies, and just hanging out. I’ve stayed in 15-20 rental properties and I can easily say that this was best stocked with any extras that you might need for cleaning. Very clean home, spacious, pictures true to reality.
