“Plenty of communication from host, very beautiful property and clean house. View is fantastic, and quiet place. Would recommend, big time!”

“We enjoyed our stay at this historic property within walking distance to downtown New Bern. The features and historic quirks made the house extra special. It was clean and cozy. While we didn't bring our pet, the home is pet friendly, as advertised. The couch provided an additional firm sleeping option in addition to the 2 upstairs bedrooms; instead of a bed pulling up from the sofa, you folded out additional cushions and slept directly on the sofa. The few downsides were lack of dishwasher and...

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and comfortable. The AC was awesome! The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfy, there was plenty of hot water. I will definitely stay here again.”

“Host was very helpful with all questions. Property was very clean and had no issues with any property amenities. Will definitely use for the next time I visit family.”

“Immediately upon entering found a cockroach in the house. Reached out to host and she could careless. Told me i needed to sweep it up and dispose of it. Took a chance with a different vrbo because our normal spot was taken this trip to havelock and boy did everyone in my party regret it. This house is beyond gross. Every single person with me asked multiple times about the normal place we rent and how this one was much worse quality and the house being gross. Not to mention all the shotty work...

“Very clean nice neighborhoodExcellent communication Spacious home”

“The host is very friendly and helpful. We had some issues with the door lock and he was able to reset the lock instantly over the phone during check in. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are very clean with more than enough supplies, although the kitchen plates are all plastic and worn. The retreat is very cozy and is only 7 minutes from the ferry, very convenient. We had a good sleep.”

“Really cute house. Sheets were nice and soft. Everything was nice and clean. HVAC was loud. The air was a tiny bit musty but that’ll probably go away if they change the intake filters. Maybe the noise will lessen as well since the system won’t have to strain so hard to pull air into it. The view was not what I expected but that’s on me I think. I was supposed to be there for work but cancelled my participation in Mumfest and brought my husband instead for a night away. We both really...

“Everything was clean, the property was awesome and comfortable”

“Property was exactly what we needed for our travels with lots of space and really cool. The host was very thoughtful, having everything prepared before we showed up. Wish we had more time and I could take him up on offer to take me deep sea fishing!”
