“A magical farm you won't want to leave! Plenty of room to roam and sit outside to enjoy nature during the day. At night we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub under the lit pergola. Slept like a baby on a very comfortable bed and loved that we had the option for A/C or a fan and that we could open the "garage" door on the unit for fresh air if we wanted. And finally, the best part of Alpine South, the family who runs it. They make you feel like you're staying with old friends from the moment...

“While maybe not exactly what I was expecting, this little barn house stay was great for our family holiday travel (with our dogs) to such a beautiful area. Very country cute. Remote. Had all amenities. Very thoughtful hosts. Quick and attentive support. Only suggestion, given closeness to road would have been nice to have a small fenced area outside for dogs.Still, a great little stay.”

“This property is right on the lake with beautiful mountain views on almost every side. We watched a beaver building his dam almost every evening-Like you could hear him chewing with his big teeth. The grocery store, restaurants, and activities are within a 15-30 minute drive. The resort itself is safe and beautiful! Consider a boat rental! If you’re looking for peace and quiet or a fun family vacation, this is a great choice! And yes, we saw a bear in town!”

“With the lake not yet active after the storm I was concerned if the younger adults would be bored or not have a great time. We all had a blast. That game table is a hit! Good for. A few minutes entertainment or several hours depending on what you want to play. Very comfortable beds. Very beautiful place. Easy to use tbs and kitchen ware. Enough technology to impress. But not ultra technical gadgets to complicated to use. We had an awesome time! Will stay again if available. Quiet neighborhood...

“It was a ok place to stay. We were hiking most of the time. The shower was small with water running on to the floor. The biggest issue we had was the location. The entrance into the house is a junk yard house, the owner has a truck that is parked blocking the entrance partially . Making it close for our truck to pull up the driveway. The positive is that there is a fenced yard for our dogs to come in and out. The concept of the container home is cute. A couple with pets it works ”

“We had a wonderful stay. Very clean with a cozy cabin retreat feel. We chose this mountain house so we would have a view and to be close the chimneys rock. Nice large deck to enjoy that view. Our host were in quick communication with us for check-in and check-out. Sent us all the information needed for a smooth stay. I was happy to see Lake Lure is making a come back after the hurricane. ”

“This historic house is gorgeous and charming! The rooms are impeccably decorated with unique touches, all different. The kitchen is perfectly modern. The grounds are lush with large trees, flowering bushes, ferns and more. The fences dog yard was perfect! The covered deck off the kitchen with a tall table and chairs along with a pizza oven and BBQ had a gate to the dog yard! Fire pit and yard games all just minutes to Saluda, NC. Book it!.”

“We loved the location of this property, private feeling and with trees all around. The smells and sounds of summer and nature were very relaxing. We loved the outdoor space and the windows which afforded a lovely view no matter where you looked. It was a like a tree house get away. There are stairs to get to the front door and stairs to get down to the 2nd bathroom and beds on the “basement” level.
