We were an extended family of 6 adults and 4 children (all under 10). The house is spacious, in a beautiful quiet location. It has 3 large community spaces where the children could play and the adults could socialize. It is about a 10 minute walk from the trailhead for some beautiful hikes through the woods; at the same time it is only 15 minutes from a number of inviting beaches. Guests should be aware that there are 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are ensuite. That means that 2 bedrooms require descending either one or two flights of stairs to get access to the one bathroom not within a bedroom. That worked for us but might not for every group. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The photos of this place speaks for itself. The home is spectacular and cozy. The property is stunning, settled into a quiet neighborhood. In awe of its architecture and did not want to leave. Instructions were a breeze and it was easy to get in touch with the owner if needed. We had family meet for dinner and cooked in the kitchen which was well stocked. We drove up initially from Big Sur and my brother wanted to see a banana slug but we didn’t come across any there. Arrived here in Montara and this property had tons along the garden!! We were ecstatic and would look for them every chance we stepped outside. So cute! Thank you for the warm cozy stay. We hope to come back again.

Natural beauty

Loved the home, it’s space and the setting. Great kitchen supplies, family meeting rooms, bedroom sizes. We would come back to this home for our next visit. As noted from other reviews, cobwebs indoors and spiderwebs outdoors.

Great team retreat getaway

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and spacious accommodations on a work planning retreat. Bathroom configuration a little awkward (only bathroom not an en suite was in the basement). Well stocked home, very comfortable.

Perfect for our Creative Retreat!

This house was perfect for our weekend creative retreat of 5 writers and illustrators. Plenty of space to spread out and work from the various living areas, two different balconies with chairs, tables and desks, even an outdoor fire pit area that was really peaceful surrounded by trees. Kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms were all great, super comfy memory foam beds. Some of the bedrooms don't have a bathroom (unclear in the listing photos), but one common bathroom is on the ground floor. We had to do a lot of sharing of bathrooms for 5 of us as this house is 3 levels! We enjoyed hanging out around the gas fire pit at night. This place was great and we will definitely book again!

Successful team offsite in the woods!

Beautiful property and secluded location. A good spot for our annual team offsite. Amenities were nice overall, and the we enjoyed the house's modern and natural design. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking group meals, and ample indoor and outdoor seating. We liked having a separate "working" space and "lounging" space. Basketball court outside was fun! A few small quirks: (1) the kitchen cabinets can be hard to open/close (disclosed ahead of time in the check-in app, so we knew to expect this); (2) watch out for the steps in/out of the kitchen, definitely a trip hazard, (3) 2 of the 3 bathrooms are on-suites, so morning/night routines were harder for folks in the shared room upstairs; (4) someone was clearly watching the house from their car as we were checking out, which put pressure on making sure we left punctually. It made for an uncomfortable check-out process. These are relatively minor notes from an overall positive stay!

Amazing property and views!

Gorgeous property and views. Very well appointed and beautifully decorated. If we had one wish it would be for one additional bathroom with a bathtub. But overall this was a winner and we would love to return. The best part of all was the hiking trail at the top of the hill with ocean views. Be sure to check it out.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this property. We were so pleased with how clean spacious and beautiful the house was! The property manager was so responsive and made our trip amazing! Great place to stay, not ideal of anyone in your party has mobility issues as on 3 floors but a lovely property and very good communication and straightforward to book and deal with. Would stay again.

High School Buddies

This was a periodic reunion of high school friends. That we all had our own bedroom was wonderful. The home is spacious and great for hanging out. Fire pit was a big hit for the foggy evenings. Highly recommend this property!

Relaxing…Wonderful…Exactly What We Needed

This is an annual girls trip and we’ve stayed at a number of properties near the California coast and everyone loved this one. It was well appointed - the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was new and open. We had all the plates, trays, bowls we needed. It was so peaceful and quiet. A short drive to the Moss Beach Distillery was worth it. And before check in - we got a fabulous link from the host about places to check out while we were in the area. We all had such a nice time at this VRBO.

Almost perfect

Truly a gorgeous house. Amazingly details, gorgeous furniture - so much light and air and views. And the kitchen is fabulous. Here's my one *very small* issue: You advertise a basketball court in the property description and there's a photo of it in the pics but the backboard and net weren't there (post is still in the ground though, so maybe it's being replaced?) - Anway, we had a few moments of a rather disappointed seven year old boy who was promised some basketball - but - he got over it pretty quickly when I broke out the whiffle ball that we had brought instead. And it rained on Tuesday - so no missed opportunity there. All in all - this place is more beautiful than advertised.
