Early Summer holiday

Nice property built on a hill and closely related to lovely Montecchio. Easy to find with quite exciting small road leading to property. Nice pool and gardens.

Lovely villa in a nice quiet location

Our group of older adults really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and spacious villa. It was a very short walk to the town, with its market and coffee bar and restaurant. The pool was beautiful and clean but it was a bit chilly for swimming when we were there. Perfect setting for a group!

Beautiful sunsets

The house was large enough for my family of 8. The house was well stocked with everything you would need. The location allowed us to tour many destinations from Rome to Florence. The town was cute and everyone was nice and helpful. A car is a must.

Family Christmas

We stayed in the property over Christmas and New Year. The property manager was extremely attentive and helpful and had even provided a Christmas tree and decorations for us. The house was very clean and had beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped. Our only problem was that the shower did not work well and the hot water was limited.

Enjoying Tuscany Villa and Town

Beautiful villa, well laid out, spacious and well appointed for kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms and outside deck areas. Easy access to nearby town up a fairly steep 200 meter laneway. Great local bakery, butcher and grocery stores. Super local restaurant, Kilometro Zero. Responsive service from villa host on any issues. Tnank you !!! Grest

Another great stay!

We first stayed here in 2019 and my previous review was then based on this holiday. It is so good, we wanted to come back with our family of 10 to enjoy this beautiful part of Umbria and so booked again. The property, location, views are what makes it worth coming back. The weather was very hot and the covered terrace was a big help, especially with the views you can enjoy. There is a new Pizza restaurant in the village now as well as the fantastic Kilometer Zero restaurant. The small supermarket is very well stocked and run by a family who care. It helps you not having to drive to Orvieto for supplies. Guido is again very helpful. Book this property. It is worth it.

Great place to just enjoy and chill!

Guido was very gracious assisting us whenever we had questions. Claudia, who met us at the square was very helpful & guided us to the property. Both were very responsive to any of our needs. A small car is a must for narrow roads in hilltop towns. The town was close by with a short up hill walk. I felt I was back in time, learning to just enjoy the simpleness and beauty of it all! Guido referred Thomas & Jamila for a cooking class in his lovely Villa.. very entertaining as well as great cooks as they enlightened us on preparing traditional Umbrian dishes. Each nite, we enjoyed libations out on the patio enjoying the panoramic view. I had to keep pinching myself as I felt I was in a dream! Amore!

Wat een heerlijk verblijf. Met twee gezinnen hebben we tien dagen mogen genieten van deze fantastische villa van Guido in een oase van rust. Het huis is heerlijk, er was airconditioning maar die hebben we niet nodig gehad, het bleef koel genoeg in de nachten. We troffen het daarbij wel met het weer met ca. 29 graden overdag ten opzichte van de voor de tijd normale 37 graden. Het huis bevind zich op een zeer stijle helling, dus is enkel geschikt wannneer je goed kan lopen. Het zwembad is groter dan de foto's doen vermoeden, en werd twee keer schoongemaakt door iemand die daarvoor langs kwam. Zowel achter bij het zwembad als voor op het overdekte terras is het genieten, en het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Op loopafstand (helling) zijn een supermarktje en restaurants, en de prachtige burcht waar je alle straatjes kan verkennen. Je kan direct voor de deur parkeren, we stonden met twee auto's zeer ruim. Het contact met Guido was zeer prettig, bij vragen over bijvoorbeeld het afval. De badkamers waren schoon met hele fijne douches, en het is zeer stil (op een hond en een haan na) in de nachten. Er is een riante keuken voorzien van alle gemakken en een overdaad aan keukengerei en twee ruime koelkasten met vriezer. Echt het enige minpuntje is wellicht het wiebelende bed (alsof je in een waterbed ligt) ten minste in onze slaapkamer (begane grond). Een fijne plus is de wasmachine. Het was een fantastisch verblijf, we hebben echt iedere dag genoten!

I definitely recommend!

The house met our requirements perfectly. Very well equipped kitchen, rooms, pantry, bathrooms. First time drive off the main road home, quite scary but you get used to it. Convenient parking in front of the house, space for bicycles in the garage. The pool is perfect, not too big, not too small. The views from the front of the house are phenomenal. Peace and quiet, the area only for us, but at the same time literally a few minutes on foot to the town center for coffee, pizza or just for a walk. Everyone in our group could decide if they wanted to be together or isolate themselves. We will recommend!

Montecchio

The house was beautiful and spacious. Immaculately clean and well stocked. The town residents were pleasant, and we especially enjoyed the pizzeria . The supermarket was well stocked, and we had delicious dinners at La Perla and Kilometric Zero restaurants. We would love to plan another trip in the future.

Dieser Urlaub war sehr erholsam.

Der Urlaub hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, genau richtig um einmal zu entspannen. Das Haus ist sehr gross und wir mit 4 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder hat mehr als genug Platz. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, uns fehlte an nichts. Die Leute im Dorf sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Traumhaftes Haus in wunderbarer Lage

Wir haben die zwei Wochen mit Kindern, Oma und Opa und Hunden in dem Haus sehr genossen. Ein Haus mit Charme, wunderbaren Ausblick und viel Platz. Sowohl die ältere Generation als auch die Kids haben sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Claudia ist diskret, aber immer erreichbar im Hintergrund. Tolle Gegend, ein Haus zum Verlieben. Auch Hunde sind willkommen. Wir hatten nur Sonnenschein und werden die tolle Gegend und das Haus sehr vermissen.Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet eine riesige Küche. Tischkicker und Basketballkorb waren nicht mehr intakt, für unsere Kids aber kein Problem. Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Wir haben Städte besichtigt, sind gewandert und haben uns am Pool gesonnt. Wir waren von der Buchung, zur Anreise, zum Aufenthalt und zur Abreise rundum zufrieden. Wir freuen uns, auf den nächsten Aufenthalt in dem Haus.

Sehr sauberes, gepflegtes und bestens ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in einem kleinen Örtchen als idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Alle Erwachsenen und Kinder haben ihre Erholung gefunden. Spaziergänge und Wanderungen ausgiebig möglich, das Auto muss nicht jeden Tag benutzt werden. More than a vacation

Comfortable, very spacious, private, amenities very close. Central to touring making it so easy and enjoyable to travel and return in the evening. Pool was an added bonus for the days we decided to stay and lounge. Necessities provided making it easy to manage. Hosts were readily available if required.

Fantastic villa near village

Stunning property set in Umbrian countryside but with quick access to the very characterful Montecchio village via a steep incline at rear of the house. Village has only one restaurant now, which is Kilometre Zero and I can recommend this easily. The house is extremely well equipped for 10 - 12 people and the pool is of good size but most mornings you need to clear the pool of insects which is understandable but the pool is cleaned twice a week though. The veranda is in shade and offers fantastic views. We had 4 small infants and they were extremely happy as there is plenty of space. Guido is excellent at communication and a professional host. Check in was simple enough. Cannot recommend this house enough. Fantastic.

Lover Our Stay

Montecchio is a great little village and the property is an excellent venue. The pool was well maintained and and we had a great time. The people in the village were very friendly and our grandsons spent several afternoons (when we could get them out of the pool) playing football with the local kids on quarter sized field attached to the local school. Claudia, out contact, was very attentive and made sure that we knew what was going on. The house was very comfortable and had three large dining tables, including one on the patio. E ate most of our meals there. There are great views from the house and a short walk to the village for coffee. Montecchio also boasts the Bartolemi Olive Oil Mill, which has a small museum attached. The free tasting was superb. This is definitely worth a visit.

Perfect villa and location

Everything as advertised. Guido was very helpful, provided abundant information, and answered questions promptly. Montecchio is a beautiful, small town about 1.5 hours North of Rome and 2 hours South of Florence. We were 11 people. We rented two vans. Transportation is required. Being Americans, we needed to adjust to: eating late, stores being closed on Sunday and Monday (make sure you bring enough food to hold you over until Tuesday.) For us, the location was ideal and the town people very friendly. Special thanks to Kilometer Zero for providing excellent dinners and saving us on more than one occasion, Alessandro and Marta did everything possible to make sure we had a great time. We found Montecchio to be as beautiful as any of the places we drove hours to see. I put 3,000 KM on our van. We ranged in age from 75 (me) to 11 (grandson.) A great time was had by all. We made memories for a lifetime! Thank you Guido, Claudia, and Montecchio!

A wonderful house in a tremendous location

We had a wonderful week's holiday in Montecchio. The house was absolutely delightful - spacious, absolutely spotlessly clean, brilliant outdoor space for fun (pool), playing (garden) and relaxing (lots of spaces to sit out and eat or lie in the sunshine). The photos don't do the views justice - the house looks out over beautiful countryside and you can happily spend hours just looking out! The house has everything you need - plenty cooking facilities and utensils, BBQ, sun loungers, comfy beds. Montecchio is very small but beautiful - lovely medieval streets. A couple of excellent restaurants, a busy popular and welcoming bar and some small shops. It's easy to take day trips out to bigger towns (Todi, Assisi, Orvieto) and there is a big supermarket c. 25 minutes away. A car is necessary! The booking process was easy and the owners were very helpful throughout the process. Would certainly book again - and have already recommended to friends!

Beautiful Hillside Charming Villa

Stunning villa in the Umbria hillside with views! Well equipped 5 bedroom, 3 bath villa. Spacious, thoughtfully decorated, great for families. This was our home base for 6 days allowing us to take day trips to explore stunning towns like Orievto & Chivita. The owners were very helpful with great restaurant & shopping recommendations. They were quick to respond to our requests. We would definitely stay in this lovely home again!

Perfect situation

Well equipped villa with good-sized rooms and a nice pool. Idyllic views and while feeling very private, just an easy stroll to the charming hillside town of Montecchio with its shops, bank and excellent pizzeria (Fri - Sun only, though the pasta the rest of the week will certainly keep you going!). A few more fans / insect screens would be appreciated to help keep the house cool, and the bathrooms are a little tired, but this was nonetheless an excellent base to explore a beautiful part of the world. Excellent service from Guido (manager) and Claudia (owner) both in the organisation and while we were there. I'd go back happily!
