House was just what we needed for a huge family and friends get together close by. Easy to find and would definitely stay there again.

Loved the porches and the view!

We loved the porches and the seating all around. Very private. Everything inside was all in good order too. We chose this cabin for the secluded woods around and we were very pleased.

Short get away

Beautiful cabin with a gorgeous deck. We followed the owners directions to the cabin which made it easy to get to. Closest store we could find was Whitney (about 25 miles away) so we were really glad we had taken everything we thought we'd need. Location was quiet and very relaxing..

Lake Cabin

The location was perfect for us. We loved the wrap around porch with all the seating choices. The inside of the house was a little unclean. The floors could have used a mopping and the window sills were very dusty and full of dead bugs. Even with this we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Wonderful Location

This cabin in located in a community, but because it is at the end of a deadend road, it feels like you are very secluded. There is a nice wrap-around porch, a grill, an outdoor fire pit, and a covered parking area; all nice amenities. It was clean and had a nice layout, with extremely comfortable beds. It is located near a boat ramp for accessing the lake. All-in-all, I'm looking forward to staying at this property again.

Great get-away

This is an amazing property. If you crave serenity, this is it. Others wrote about the wrap-around porch; it is truly perfect. We had all of our meals out there, practically in the middle of a forest! The house is great. The kitchen is adequate, but not ideal for cooking; it is very small. It wasn't an issue, but when we go back, we'll know. Nearby Lake Whitney State Park offers very beautiful trails (short ones).

Relaxing and Peaceful

We had a very relaxing, peaceful weekend. When we arrived, the water was off due to a valve issue, but the property owner was extremely prompt in getting help and rectifying the issue. The only other issue we had was that the Vrbo listing at time of booking included a hot tub, which was one of the main reasons for my booking, but the property in fact does not have a hot tub. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend, and we appreciated the owner's excellent communication and prompt handling of our needs. Would definitely book here again!

I never leave reviews

I really never leave reviews, even for things that I buy. The location was great. Instructions to the property were perfect. Once we were there, we wanted to stay. We took hundreds of pictures of the deer. Now the bad part. The house was not cleaned as expected. The couch and one of the chairs had dog hair all over it. The countertop in the kitchen was dirty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling fan and in the bathroom. The rugs in the bathroom needed vacuuming. Other than that, the stay was really nice. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks

Cabin at Lake Whitney

Overall our stay was great! Dates shown above are incorrect. We were there July 31st thru August 4th. I do have a few suggestions. Directions to The Canyons needs to be more specific starting with exiting from I35. Boat that we brought was not a problem getting into the property and parking was very sufficient. In the description for turning on the family room tv is not accurate. It says to use the Black remote. All three (3) are Black also the tv is a Toshiba and none of the remotes are for a Toshiba. As a result we were unable to connect the tv. Both bedrooms tv were excellent and work properly. Also what is up the "Caution" tapes on certain trees? That made us uncomfortable as if it were a crime scene. If it is for safety, I would use another tape and explain why they are taped. I also cleaned out the bbq pit before we left as asked; however, it was not cleaned when we started our charcoal fire. Hopefully this will help in the future so that you will get the excellent rating. BTW neighbor waved at me while taking out the trash. We had no problems with them. I will be using Vrbo again! So easy and good! Thank you!

This is a peaceful cabin in the woods. Cabin was comfortable and cozy. My only criticism is the light switches are hard to find. Hidden in places you wouldn't expect. Place is not really built for 3 grown adults. There is 1 full bedroom and a loft over looking the living room with 2 futons. Good place for a married couple to take kids, not necessarily for 3 adults. There are a lot of rules and lots of reasons to lose you deposit so make sure you follow them. Overall, it was a nice, clean place in a remote area to unwind and we enjoyed our stay.

We will be back

I wanted to visit my dad who just turned 90. He can’t do much these days. We had such a great time watching the deer through the big windows and telling old stories. The owner was fantastic and gives great directions. Easy arrival and exit. We will be back!

Log Cabin at Whitney

This adorable cabin in the woods at Lake Whitney is ideal for a getaway. The wraparound porch is amazing and access to the lake is within 10 minutes.

Whitney trip

We had a great time we seen deer everyday the cabin was nice and clean we loved the big porch we would set and watch deer in the mornings and evenings. It’s a nice quiet place and it’s not to far from the lake. We hope to stay there again in the future.
