Blueberry Basecamp is a bright and welcoming single level home designed for easy living and a true connection to the outdoors. The heart of the house is an airy, open layout that flows naturally toward the spacious back deck, creating the ultimate setting for afternoon hangouts and sunset dinners.

Between the front and back of the home, you will find a sunny reading nook and office area—a cozy transitional space that leads to the quiet rear bedrooms giving you the perfect retreat that trades the busy Bar Harbor noise for direct park access and a peaceful village soul.

LIVING AND ENTERTAINING
After a long day on the trails, the living area is exactly where you want to be. Sink into plush sofas and inviting armchairs for a board game, or stream a movie on the large wall-mounted smart TV. On sunnier days, take it outside with two Adirondack chairs on the lawn that are perfectly placed for morning coffee or an evening relaxation.

KITCHEN AND DINING
The kitchen is a bright and modern space equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything needed for a Maine feast, including lobster tools and a dishwasher. The interior dining space features a table set for five. For warm evenings, the deck offers a round metal table with seating for four, complemented by additional deck seating for a total of eight guests, making it an ideal gathering spot for dinner under the stars.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOM
The house features two bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with two twin beds and a fourth guest room with a single twin. It’s a great setup for families, with the cozy office area tucked between the front and back sleeping quarters for a bit of extra separation.

There are two full bathrooms, including one with a tub and shower combo and a second updated bathroom with a walk in shower. Each bathroom comes equipped with plenty of soft fluffy towels and quality amenities to keep you feeling fresh.

LAUNDRY
To make the stay as convenient as possible, the home includes a full laundry with a washer and dryer located in the basement. This is the only guest-accessible area of the lower level, providing a dedicated space to refresh hiking gear or beach towels. This utility space is accessed via a set of traditional stairs tucked away from the main living and sleeping zones.

OFFICE AND WORKSPACE
If you need to work from home, the office nook is a great little spot with strong Wi-Fi and a view of the yard. This sunlit corner lets you stay productive between hikes and provides a quiet place to catch up on emails while the rest of the group relaxes on the deck nearby.

OUTDOOR SPACES
The backyard is the place to be with the huge back deck set up with a high quality gas grill and outdoor seating making it the ultimate spot to relax after a day in the park.
The large lawn is perfect for a game of catch, throwing the football or to simply soak up the sun, and with the classic blue siding and a backdrop of trees, you’ll have a peaceful spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the fresh Maine air.

ATTENTION OTHER THINGS TO NOTE!

The laundry is located in the basement down a set of stairs which might be tricky for small children or anyone with limited mobility. While the coastal breeze is lovely, we’ve added window AC units to each of the front bedrooms and the rear sleeping wing to ensure your total comfort during the warmer summer months. Additionally, cell service in the area is often very spotty and weak, the included high-speed Wi-Fi is the most reliable connection for calls and navigation.

NEIGHBORHOOD HIGHLIGHTS

Otter Creek is a total hidden gem that feels like a secret "backdoor" to the Park Loop Road and staying here allows for much faster access to Acadia’s iconic sights compared to the busy tourist hubs. The home’s standout feature is its proximity to the park located just 98 feet from the Quarry Trail trailhead; it is right on your doorstep! The Acadia National Park trail network is reachable on foot in mere seconds. This means bypassing the heavy traffic and parking frustrations often found at the Hulls Cove and Cadillac Mountain entrances, allowing for a stress-free start to any adventure.

For a morning coffee or a quick resupply, the charming Otter Creek General Store is just a 2 minute stroll down the road. It is the perfect local spot for trail snacks and basic groceries, making it easy to grab what is needed without ever touching the car keys. When it is time to head out by car, the Blackwoods entrance to the Park Loop Road is only a 4-minute drive away, providing a quick path to major landmarks like Thunder Hole and for a day at the shore, Sand Beach is just an 8-minute drive away.

While the village provides a peaceful, quiet retreat the sights and sounds of Downtown Bar Harbor are only 11 minutes away. This puts the main Hannaford grocery store, local pharmacies, and a huge variety of dining options within easy reach. And for a change of pace, the upscale shops and quiet harbor of Northeast Harbor are a scenic 17-minute drive away, with beautiful views and even ferry access to the Cranberry Isles.
