“Good location but wouldn't stay again. Photos through Expedia must have been taken when the property was refurbished many years ago because the reality was a very tired hotel. Chips in the joinery, no exhaust fan extremely average small TV that was problematic to operate. Dirty carpet. No parking aside from pay-to-park council parking. Free overnight but limited to four hours between 8.30 and 5.30. No block out blinds. Terrible AC. Really noisy and a horrible screech from the water system...

“There was no light in the first part of the bathroom with basin. The door to the main part of the bathroom creaked abominable.”

“Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly just be aware of the parking, whilst the car park was easy to find you can’t access a spot unless you have a key and prepare to line up some cars as you will be stuck, unfortunately there are no available spots outside the hotel to go and pay $25 for a key, so you will need to park elsewhere until you can organise parking, not the most ideal when you are tired from travelling, also the parking isn’t accessible from the hotel itself. “The free breakfast was terrible, ran out of food after 10mins and no plates cups or cutlery either, waited 15mins for a clean coffee cup just so I could make a hot drink. Service was terrible from the manager. Room was clean however the window in the room had no rubber seal around it so was dangerous if you had young children staying with you. The bathroom was so tiny you couldn't even sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the vanity.i would say it is definitely not 4 stars more like 2...

“I was assigned a room right next to the sliding door. I could hear the noise from the sliding door that opens and closes very often when people were coming in and out. I then asked for a room change. The new room was much better. However, when I checked out five days later, I was given a bill of $30 with a lunch charged to my old room. I remember that I never had that lunch. I only had breakfasts there.”

“This was our second visit to this very nice hotel. Quiet, clean a d extremely comfortable close to Manuka oval, pubs, restaurants and Kingston foreshore dock.”

“We were visiting numerous family members this was central to all of them. It was comfortable clean a reasonable size and reasonably priced and convenient parking. The only downside is it’s pet friendly so we had dogs barking at 3.50 am. If they put them at the other side of the premises it probably might help, all pet friendly apartments at one side and the people with no pets at the other end.”

“Beautiful architecture from the 1920s when Parliament House opened in 1927. Restored to perfection. All the staff were migrants and all outstandingly polite friendly and helpful and I loved Pixel the Labrador the ex sniffer dog who lives with the General Manager I believe It’s an elegant statement of a bygone era and well managed. It’s a credit to everyone from front staff to the GM Well done”

“The hotel is modern, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast was very good. There's not much within a walking distance of the hotel. Something we hadn't appreciated was that there is no free parking available on site. You can either pay to park or attempt to find street parking nearby. We chose the latter and were fortunate to find a spot within 200m or so. But the hotel didn't seem busy at the time so my guess is parking may be at a premium other times. Overall, a good hotel.”
