I would like to formally address issues related to a rental property that was misrepresented in its advertising. Upon our arrival at approximately 8:00 PM, we found the property to be both unsafe and unsanitary. The owner’s response was to arrange for a cleaning service to arrive at 10:30 PM, which I found to be inadequate given the circumstances.The condition of the property was concerning. The furniture exhibited signs of filth and stain damage, and there were broken window shades scattered throughout. One of the bed knobs on the bed frame was either broken or missing, leaving a protruding screw that posed a safety hazard. Additionally, used towels and soaps were left in the bathrooms, and the beds had unclean sheets with sand present throughout the premises. The kitchen was poorly maintained, as evidenced by non-functional light bulbs and missing shelves in the refrigerator. Furthermore, there were multiple holes in the walls of the living room and stairwell, and the bathroom carpets and towels were filthy, with one closet containing dirty bed linens.Communication was conducted through a third party, resulting in delays as I was unable to speak directly with the owner. This process left me feeling frustrated while I sought to find a resolution for my family. Based on this experience, which has been the most distressing I have encountered while using VRBO, I cannot recommend this property.
