Our vacation didn't start off on the right foot because they were still cleaning our room when we arrived an hour after check in. Keep in mind, as you read, that we rented at the end of August so the condo has been used all summer. As we made our way into the condo and kids started putting clothes into the drawers there were empty beer cans in the drawers. So we started to look around the condo to check and make sure things were in place. We noticed quite a few things broken and/or faulty such as loose faucets, broken towel racks, no shelves on the doors of the refrigerator, dirty sweat-stained pillows(we went out and bought our own for everyone) etc. We contacted the owner and they sent out maintenance the next day to fix shower heads, sink faucets and bring a new toaster as the other one was broken. There were only 1 fork in a condo that holds 8. The maintenance man(who was great) did bring 3 more forks with him. The communication with the realtor was pretty good but I got the sense they may have been a little annoyed with my many texts stating the issues that we had while we were there. Although they did say thank you when I updated each issue. Again, as I stated earlier we were there one of the last weeks of the summer and I understand that it was used all summer, I just think the upkeep on a place should be checked after each rental week to be sure all is up to par, especially for the money that is spent. The realtor did reimburse us for the first night's stay, which was appreciated but it would have been nice to also be reimbursed for the 6 pillows that were bought as well. Now, as for the stay. It is a great location and really close to most attractions. It's a 10 minute ride to the ballfield as well. The view from the balcony(narrow) was beautiful and you could feel the breeze which was wonderful. Much better at night hearing the ocean after hours because the pool kiddie pool fountain was loud. Easy access to the beach which was awesome. Music at times from condo or next door condo was a bit loud at times but we were out most of the time. Overall, there were a few issues, the realtor, took care of a few of them but not all. They did reimburse part, not as much as I would have thought, especially since I have worked in hospitality before. When we vacation there next year we will look elsewhere, more of a family friendly place with more reviews(this had zero reviews) and VRBO highly recommended.
