Great property and host!

This was our second stay at the Myrtle Beach Resort, and it was again excellent! The amenities and location are perfect for a family. This particular property was clean and updated, and had all the "beach gear" we needed. Communication from the host before was very clear. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay, nice beach access

The stay was exactly what we expected. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach, the private access to the beach and the amenities afterwards. Kids loved the pools and splash pad. Only recommendation is for the two windows in the master and second bedroom to be completely covered with a blackout film. The blackout curtains do the trick for about 90% of the light, but the 10% that gets through around the edges is hard to adapt to. Especially since the light that comes through is from the hallway where the lights remain full bright all day and all night (doesn't go away like the sun). Overall though, everything was great and my family would definitely stay again.

Very relaxing stay

I truly enjoyed the space. Just steps away from the beach and close proximity to shopping. It was easy to sip out for groceries. The space was well stocked beyond the basics even providing some beach fun items for use. Would gladly stay there again!

Mikes condo was very nice.

Very happy with the condo. Clean & great location. Mike is a very good host. My only small complaint is that the hallways and stairwells in the building need to be cleaned better.

Great location

We loved our week in Myrtle Beach. Having a great home base was key to this. The beds were comfy. The place was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil and pot or pan we needed. But the biggest plus to this place was its great central location to Myrtle Beach and neighboring Surfside Beach. Endless retail and restaurant options within minutes. Looking forward to returning.

Great location, mostly good stay

Enjoyed the property and amenities. Slight issue with owner - he seems like a nice person but never sent me anything in writing, even the address. He just called me a week before I got there (paid and reserved 4 months before arrival) and I had to take shorthand notes as far as directions to get into the unit. They were mostly along the lines of “right turn here, go around, second door on right” which can get really confusing and ambiguous - and did. We ended up trying to get into the wrong unit in the wrong building at 1 am after traveling across country for this trip. Couldn’t get ahold of him, which I do understand because it was the middle of the night, but it was a VERY stressful situation for my family. We had to call security to help us find the unit and let us in. Then he showed up banging on the door at 8 am (i have a toddler who refused to go to bed until 4 am, so I was all but dead at that point), and made me feel like I had somehow written directions down wrong or something. He also made it seem like security should not have helped us get into the room which to me is crazy because our alternative would have been sleeping in the hall? Or the car? But whatever, after that encounter we didn’t speak again at all for the duration of our 8 day stay. No check ins or anything, I’m not sure if that’s normal or not but it didn’t make a difference to me, we didn’t really need anything so it was ok. He told me over the phone that upon check out all we needed to do was to take out our trash and do our dishes. We did both. I didn’t do a massive cleaning because I was told I didn’t need to. When I got home from traveling 14 hours after check out I see a message from him saying “condo was filthy needed extra cleaning”. I didn’t feel comfortable to respond since this was only our second real encounter and he made me feel like an idiot the first time we talked. Im not sure what this could be referring to tho. We didn’t stain or break anything, we didn’t leave bedding or cushions on the ground, we didn’t leave trash out, we didn’t leave anything in the fridge or the sink. The bathrooms, kitchen, mirrors and coffee tables needed to be cleaned, but I assumed that would be part of a standard clean in between guests? we didn’t trash the place by any means. When we got there the doors and floors were already very dirty. So be prepared to clean top to bottom, or get a rude message. I liked the condo but didn’t feel very comfortable dealing with the owner.

Really wanted to love….

We traveled to Myrtle Beach with our 2 young children to visit family. We chose Michael’s condo based on its location and proximity to activities and where our family lives. Michael was so attentive and responsive. Communication was immediate and we even talked via phone a couple times, which I really appreciated. During our stay we had a very minor issue with a light and the toilet running and Michael responded immediately. He is definitely super helpful. The condo is spacious enough for 4. One bedroom with Queen bed and en suite bath, the other bedroom with 2 twins and dresser. Both rooms had closets. Kitchen was big with dining table for 6 and large balcony. Beach is steps away and lovely. There is also a playground on site. A few things to note based solely on my experience: The description in the listing says “newly renovated”, but by appearances it looked like there might be new floors in living room, hallway and bedrooms, and a fresh coat of paint, so I’m not sure that renovated is accurate? Also, the condo needs a good dusting, overall it was clean, but when it was time to check out we grown ups had to get down on the floor to pick up toddler toys and we saw lots of dust; the windows in both bedrooms face an inner hallway of the complex and it would be great if there were light blocking shades as we noticed some other units had. Additionally, some thoughts about the condo complex as a whole, which is in no way a reflection of the owner: There are laundry rooms on each floor and we checked out a couple and they are filthy, the hallways definitely need a sprucing up, we also observed almost every night people smoking marijuana; we attempted to use the pool one day but there were lots of people on the pool deck many of them vaping and also drinking alcoholic beverages, not sure what the policy is at the condo complex but that was a hard no for us , the condo also faces a large RV park next-door and the noise can be very loud at night, and on our last night in the unit, someone was lighting M80 fireworks at 11 o’clock at night and woke our kids. Overall, Michael is a great host and we were happy to stay in his unit, but I don’t think we would book at this complex again.

Great location for “snowbirding”

Many retirees enjoying this resort in the winter. Bingo, water aerobics, line dancing, are some of the group activities. Unfortunately most of the outdoor pools and lazy River are not heated and/or closed for the season.

The perfect place

The resort was great! Wish all the pools were open but we did get into the inside pools. Everything was great, we loved it and had so much fun! 5 out of 5, will definitely recommend!! Mike the owner was great also!! He has a lovely place!!

This was an easy process to rent this property, Micheal’s instructions were on point. Only thing I didn’t have to use the gate code my car already had a pass sticker on . Make sure you leave on or before 10 am or Mike is gonna evict you. Lol 😂 but yeah he’s a great guy.
