Check in was good, but we entered a room which previously housed a sticky, food-spreading toddler and wasn't cleaned up afterward. There was actual food in various places, such as on the remote, sticking out from under the couch, smeared all over the glass doors, crumbs and sticky all over the coffee table and couch. Some of the dishes were put away dirty. Not as if they were poorly washed, but as if they weren't washed at all (see photos).We called Elliot Rentals (property managers) after we arrived requesting additional cleaning. They never showed up. We received a text from them the next day, after we cleaned the mess ourselves, and they offered excuses: they couldn't clean because of lightening! They offered no information about wifi, or the "ins & outs" of the resort. We were asked via email to take our own trash out of the room 24 hours before check out, with no instruction as to where to take it. I emailed Elliot Rentals back asking where to take it and was told to just put it in a trash can by the elevators!! (Which dont exist)The room itself is poorly maintained. The ad phots are deceiving. This room is just a money grab for the owners & managers. They dont take pride in it and it shows. Please rent from the resort itself rather than this privately owned room. Their rooms are nice! The resort is why this even got 2 stars. If you still choose this room take utensils (2 forks, 3 spoons), kitchen trash bags (1), and cleaning supplies.
