Myrtle Beach Stau

The location is perfect!! The unit was not up to our standards. We made the best of it. The unit needs some major updates and definitely an overall deep clean. We understand when it’s rented from week to week its hard to thoroughly clean the unit. But this unit hasn’t had a deep clean for quite some time. Runner coming in unit is just in the way and the blue tape over trim going into kitchen looks really tacky. Cheese drawer in refrigerator just sets on shelf no track for it to slide on. In my opinion Kitchen looked much better after we left than when we arrived. Sorry to be harsh but definitely wouldn’t stay there again or recommend unless they did some upgrades. We still had a great time!! Thank goodness weather was nice so we weren’t in the unit much.

Soth Hampton at Kingston Planation

There were 6 adults in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo for a week in late May. We were ocean view and the view was great, sunsets were very nice. We had 2 small balconies and 1 Large balcony, all 3 had outdoor tables and chairs. The owners were fast to reply if we had problems. We had a problem with the lock on the front door: the battery was low (changing it did no good) and the code worked the first day but by the 2nd day we had to have one of us stay inside because we could not get it to lock or unlock, finally the 3rd day a replacement lock was installed. The main 2 bedrooms were clean but the third bedroom was not. We had to vacuum the floors because of the grit on the floor. The resort is beautifully maintained and the beach was great! We had plenty of carts to use for loading unloading our luggage. Parking was great and pools were very clean and had lots of loungers. Kingston Plantation is very close to shopping and restaurants. My only complaint is that it is hard to recycle in the South Hampton building!! We could take cardboard to the loading dock at the Embassy Suites next door but the only glass, plastic, aluminum or paper recycle container was on the beach!!! I called the switchboard twice with no help. A resort as large as Kingston Plantation needs to have a recycling system in place!

Steps to the beach. 2 elevators in lobby and one on the beach end of building. 5 minutes to Barefoot Landing. 15 minutes to Broadway at the beach.

Extended FamilyVacation on the Beach

Lots of room for 10 people, great environment, close to the beach. Could not figure out how to use television in the main room, but that is not what we were there for. Wonderful experience!
