First, I want to say the new owners, Craig and Michalene Cookson, went above what most owners would do for their renters. I had rented this condo through VRBO. I was advised it had been sold AFTER paying for the trip. Mr. Cookson reached out on his own and contacted me by phone to let me know he had just purchased the condo and would honor all payments and reservations already completed. However, a few days later the old property manager refunded and terminated the contract of all the renters who had previously reserved and paid for their vacations. Mr. Cookson again reached out to me and made sure my days were saved for me at the original price. I can't say enough about how well they treated my family.
Now, on to the review of the condo. First thing we noticed when arriving to the condo the quiet location but yet close to everything you need, groceries, shopping, restaurants and entertainment for all ages. I would recommend a few maps of the area or directions and suggestions making it easier to find these location. Second, the location....ON THE BEACH! The building is a bit old but well maintained. Walking into the condo we found it was SPOTLESS. Very clean! The unit was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, need corkscrew though ;-) good size refrigerator and dishwasher. The condo is perfect for a single family, maybe a few close friends. The only down side is no laundry IN the unit. There is laundry on site but make sure you bring some quarters with you.
Everyone we met at the condo was nice and very pleasant. No loud parties, etc.
The only negative, if you need to have more than one vehicle, there is very limited parking. There is not 24 hour public parking anywhere close we could find. However, the owner worked with us and we were able to park across the street at the buildings extended parking area. Again, Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Cookson.
I will certainly be saving this as a favorite. The price, location, facility and customer service by the owners make it a GREAT and AFFORDABLE vacation location!!
