The condo was great. The location was great. My family enjoyed our stay. However, I was very unhappy about how management addressed my issue regarding the difficulty I had with gaining entry onto the gated property the night we arrived. I arrived at the property at10 pm with my 2 daughters and couldn’t find the gate code to get in. Long story short after 30 min of trying to find the gate code … I called security and we got in. The next morning I called to let the rental company know about the difficulty we experienced with trying to get in the night before. The first person apologized because they didn’t see where I had been emailed the needed info. I thanked her… and she sent my call to the manager on duty. The manager brought to my attention that I was infact sent the gate code info in an email a month prior to our trip on the same day that I made the reservation. I didn’t recall getting the email, but I thanked her for pointing out my error and apologized for my mistake. I then nicely said… “I’d like to make a suggestion, it would be helpful if the gate code could come in the same email with the door entry code or at least please remind the customer that the gate code was sent the day the reservation was made.” The woman I spoke with told me, and I quote, “we don’t have to send reminders because we have already sent the gate code in the email when the reservation was confirmed.” So I then reminded her I was making a suggestion and wanted my suggestion noted. Then she said, “no one else had ever had trouble getting into the property because all of their other customers PRINTED OUT THEIR REGISTRATION INFORMATION and brought it with them.” I replied saying… “ I couldn’t imagine anyone printing out reservation info in 2021, because most people used their smart phones to look up info needed for checking in.” I am usually a calm and agreeable person, but the comments from this manager were unnecessary and condescending. My stay was still enjoyable even though the managers comments were unnecessary and frustrating.
