The description of this property on VRBO uses words such as “Luxury!”, “Four Diamond Resort!”and “Upscale” frequently. The outdated condition of this unit does not match these descriptions. The rugs are ripped and stained, a leather armchair (prominent in the photos) is ripped down the seat in two places. The ceiling fan in one bedroom is so loose and noisy that it was unuseable. The description also emphasizes the “oversized balcony off the living room…that our guests truly enjoy relaxing on…” and off the primary bedroom, a second private balcony (they even write, “Yes, you read that right!”). Due to the horrible condition of the balcony furniture, we were unable to use these areas other than to stand at the railing (unless we dragged the unit furniture outside).Additionally, the kitchen, which is described as having “beautiful cabinets that offer plentiful storage space and are fully stocked” actually have the largest primary cabinets locked and unaccessible. We chose this property for an extended, month-long stay, and not just a quick week or weekend get-away. Our decisions were based on the amenities we thought we would need and use for that period. The condition of the furniture, rugs, balconies and kitchen make us feel misled, and that is very unfortunate. We contacted the property managers about these issues and were told that the best they could do was to make the owner aware of them. No changes were made.
