Our original booked room had a water heater issue so they accommodated us and moved us to a different room. Under the kitchen sink had previous tenants recycling bags. The disposal did not work. The bifold closet doors in both rooms were off track and not working. The vacuum was clogged full and smelled bad. The shower faucet in the master bath is coming out of the wall. The refrigerator leaks water onto the top shelf (a bowl has been placed inside to catch it) and also in the freezer. Maybe it was the quickness of moving our accommodations, but the unit just needs some TLC.

Quick Weekend

The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The condo itself was a good size (2 bed/bath, full kitchen). It was clean, but you could tell it was an older unit. Wasn't bad for a quick weekend, but definitely not worth the price for any longer. There was very little parking at the actual building. We had to park in the overflow parking lot which was down tge street about a tenth of a mile.

I wish I could give an honest review about Windy Shores but I can’t because the day before check in I was told due to a water leak, I was being relocated to Ocean Towers ( under the same ownership). This was disappointing due to the fact that I selected Windy shores on the basis of having an oceanfront room with a balcony. Ocean Towers balconies are closed for the remainder of the year. I appreciate the prompt solution to the room but it was disappointing to be relocated.

The property had work being done but it didn’t interfere with our stay. The unit was a tad dated but we would happily stay again!

Overall a wonderful stay! The room we booked didn't have bedding for the pull out sofa bed when we arrived. I want to give a big shout out to Christy at the front desk for working so hard to get those to us. Your kindness meant a lot. :)

We booked a Two bedroom Two bathroom condo at this place, with 1 king bed and two QUEEN beds. We were given one king bed and two TWIN beds. Tried calling the number on reservation, we were told nothing else was available and to reach out to Expedia. The first guy we talked to tried to argue with us saying the reservation said “Two queen beds or twin beds.” This language was NOT on our reservation. Asked for a supervisor multiple times but he never put us through. We spoke to someone else, who offering to cancel and give us a credit towards another hotel. Since there was nothing else available in the area (spring break) we decided to settle for what we had. Now for the actual hotel, The building is quite old, several door handles in our unit were loose, paint chipping off wall in some spots and electrical/lights didn’t work right. Sliding doors did not work good. The TV box in master bedroom said we needed to upgrade to watch any channel, but other boxes in living room and small bedroom didn’t have this problem. The master bathroom also didn’t work well. The toilet didn’t flush well. On the positive side, it was a easy place to find, close to town, quiet, and a great view of the ocean. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but would not return.

Stay on a budget.

Place was comfortable but needs some work. All the amenities are there.would have liked coffee for 5 nights not just 2. Bed head board in 2 nd bedroom needs screwed in. Propped it back with pillow. But it was beautiful to look out over ocean. Ceiling paint needed, and curtain and Rod needs replaced in front room.

Our condo was located on the fourth floor and the elevator was not working. I use a cane and walker. My children and grand children had to assist me. We did not stay and relocated to another establishment. Was told by another person staying there that the elevator has not been working for a few weeks.

Please read this before buying into reviews.

Oceanview and easy access to the beach. Those are the only positive things I can say about this place. This is a dated, dirty, unmaintained hotel. DO NOT trust the positive reviews. I can't possibly list all the issues, but here is many: - Thin walls, no curtains on windows to hallways. People can freely see inside your room and you hear every word on all sides. - Molding shower curtains - Room clearly fall apart. Decades old and hasn't seen any maintenance - Shower head with disgusting build up - Kitchen cabinets falling apart - Carpet flooring that clearly hasn't been replaced or cleaned in who knows how long. - And much more cause this place isn't even worth any more of my time or brain power. Even if you are considering the price, know that you are paying for the oceanview and nothing else. Which STILL isn't worth it as there are cheaper hotels out there for likely the same experience. While I loved my stay at Myrtle Beach, this wasn't easily a blight to it. Go to Myrtle Beach (especially the North), but don't stay here.

Driving up to it was a hot mess. No parking available...was told I could park a block and half away. Then I got to the room. Furniture was worn. Bathrooms not properly cleaned. One of the bathrooms had a ring of dirt inside the tub. The shower curtain had mildew on it. Tried to get another room was not accommodated. Asked to speak with the manager and she was unavailable, so I cancelled the reservation. It was just terrible...will never ever make reservations to stay there again!

Beautiful views and quiet setting

The property is located right on the beach at a dead-end street so it's very quiet and a beautiful setting. Check-in was simple, as was check-out. The property, though spacious, is definitely in need of a remodel. It's an older property and generally clean. The only issue we had was the cable tv and internet. I had to call the rental office multiple times for it to be resolved, but it did end up getting resolved. Overall satisfied with the property, and would stay here again.

View was great of ocean but the unit needed some serious updating. Cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms and sinks in bathrooms need to be replaced as well as floor trim around bath tubs.

Nice location, parking sucked! Parking very limited even for February. The overflow parking is a good ways up the street, too far to be comfortable leaving vehicle and definitely not for walking alone or a couple of women.
