I loved the artsy atmosphere, and the archeological museum MANN has made great strides in the thirty years since I was there before. It i now one of the best in Italy and major-league in Europe. It is impossible to rate the certainly vibrant environs. However, because so much squalor and delapidation may prove weirdly charming to some (count me among them), to others (my wife included, who dislikes long travel to begin with and big cities) the same may be repulsive.
