Great Spot on Lake James

This is our go to spot for Lake James vacations. Karen is wonderful to work with and a great communicator. Property is great for larger groups

Relaxing time at the lake

This property is outstanding and truly well stocked. We loved that each bedroom had an adjacent bathroom, in addition to multiple communal restrooms. We spent most of our time on the covered patio when we were not on the boat. The dock was fun to jump off and swim around- we also enjoyed the provided paddle boards. Many properties require extensive steps to access the lake however this location was extremely easy to access the water. Communication with property management was always timely. I had many questions ahead of time and each was carefully answered. We saw deer every morning and afternoon which was always an exciting adventure. We would love to return to this property for another lake trip!

Great space for big family

We had a wonderful time at Lake James. The house was great and an easy walk to the water which was great. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. It was nice to have two living areas too.

paradise on the lake

the house is very accommodating for my whole family! we always love time in the mountains and enjoy swimming, boating and wave runners on the beautiful clean lake! always sad to leave but will definitely be back!

Great place!!!

Great house! Plenty of space. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was awesome for our group. Nice community. Communication with property manager was very easy, Karen was always available to help remedy issues quickly. I would recommend this for larger groups/family vacations.

Luxury at the Lake

The week we spent at this property on Lake James will be one that our family remembers forever. The house is simply spectacular. Around every corner you will find a new and even more luxurious space to relax in. The outside, if possible, is even more breathtaking with stunning views of Lake James and the surrounding mountains. Directly across from the dock is an undeveloped island which just adds to the peacefulness. Our days were filled with waking up early to watch the sunrise, swimming and boating on pristine Lake James, exploring nearby Ashville and eating dinner and making s'mores around the fire pit. I have an 18 and 21 year-old and I was a little concerned that they might get a bit bored as the week went on but both of them said it was one of their favorite trips ever. We all left fully relaxed and excited to visit again. The management company was also extremely responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Great week at the lake

We really enjoyed our time at the Lake House. There was plenty of room for our party of 11, ranging in age from 5-72! The view was the best in the lake. There were plenty of water toys to keep us busy. Highly recommend!

Lake James Lodge

The house is quite accommodating with every bedroom having it’s own on-suite. The bunk room has 8 beds along with its own tv area and bathroom. The garage has been converted into its own lounge area with a full kitchen and tv area with great views of the lake. Going down to the lake was an easy walk and having the jet ski ramps was perfect for us. There are tvs in every bedroom and social area you can imagine. Bonus was the big screen tv in a separate lounge area off the main family room that we used as a movie theater. There are also three full size refrigerators with ice makers and a bar fridge and wine cooler in the family room. We will definitely rent here again if we vacation on Lake James in the future.

Lovely Property

The view from this property was hard to leave! The home offers a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and enjoyable common areas both inside and out. Our family enjoyed it immensely from the little ones to the grandparents! We will be back.

Pretty Perfect! You won't be disappointed!

We had a group of 9 adults and 2 children (under the age of 5) stay at this amazing lake house. It never felt crowded and everyone had their own space and bathroom. It's rare to find all bedrooms having their own ensuite bathroom. This place was pretty perfect for us. Easy access to the dock, and we spent many hours wading in the lake with the many floatation devices that the house comes with. The A/C worked perfectly for such a big property. The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot of privacy. Karen was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We wanted a private chef to come in and cook a family meal for us and Karen came through with a recommendation. The private chef worked out perfectly! She even made a birthday cake for one of our guests. The 2 fridges in the house was definitely needed and used. We kept drinks in one fridge and food in the other. So many kitchen amenities! Coffee makers (drip and Keurig), waffle maker, instant pot, cake mixer, 2 ovens (one convection/microwave combo), microwave, 5-burner stove, instant hot water dispenser at the kitchen sink, toaster oven, wine fridge, smaller fridge with ice maker. You will definitely make great memories at this lake house! We hope to return every year. TIPS: Body wash and shampoo not provided so bring your own. Pick up extra paper towels/napkins, and toilet paper on your way in. We also brought paper plates so we wouldn't be washing dishes all the time :-).

Lake Front

The place looked very beautiful on the outside. Our view was amazing! All that being sad, I think there are some things that could be better. The master smelled awful, even the comforter. There was a cigarette smell. The toilet in the master smelled of body odor. Also in the master, the tv will not connect to the WiFi. We tried everything. A good amount of the lightbulbs were burned out. There are hardly any light near the fireplace and on the deck. We were unable to visit either of those spots when it got dark. I think it may be time to get new towels Even after washing them, they smelled of mildew. Hardly any of the showers doors worked. The light is out in the master shower, so you can’t see much. The water on the refrigerator doesn’t work, and the ice is a little gross I guess these are just some things that need to be worked out..especially for the amount of money we paid. I’m so sorry for all the bad news, but we still had the best time.

Spring Break Vacation

Great property with an amazing view and a desireable location. The newly refurbished dock was very accessible and allowed my small children and elderly parents to easily access to our boat. The bunk room was great for the kids and we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace each night. Our four children were not happy about not having access to the hot tub but this property had a ton of amenities. Would highly recommend this property!

Fantastic Experience!

We absolutely loved our stay. In fact, we loved it so much we extended our reservation. The house is beautiful and located on a gorgeous part of Lake James. The easy walk from the house down to the lake was especially nice given you almost have to be a mountain goat to get to some of the houses on the lake from their docks. We'll definitely be back!!!

Loved the house, area, management!!

We all were extremely pleased with this house! We arrive to a spotless house, comfortable, well appointed kitchen and amenities, and fabulous view. Management was quickly responsive to our issues….tho the security alarm chirping was only a temporary fix……did not interfere with us enjoying the house, tho. Definitely would stay here again!!
