The stay was nice; we enjoyed the patio and the hot tub. Communication excellent. The broken blinds bothered us; mostly in the master. Until those are fixed you can not sleep in due to the light streaming in. I would also say the coffee pot can be updated. The floor plan was great; there were only a few towels, like 5 maybe? We had 3 of us staying; we used two of them for the hot tub. Overall a pleasant stay.

This was the perfect picturesque place to relax. The beds were comfy, the kitchen good sized with enough equipment available, the hot tub was just right, and the view was magnificent. We enjoyed the spacious yet cozy vibe.

The location and views were beautiful! A few things were missing rom the house: dish towels, sheets for the futon, ample toilet paper & paper towels & trashbags. Also, the amenities listed a fireplace, but when we arrived the fireplaces both had signs indicating that they were "ornamental" fireplaces. This would have been very good to know, especially because we bought firewood to bring. The house was nice and clean and the outdoor decking was fabulous.

Everything was great but the master bed either needs to be replaced or flipped. It has dips in it and was super uncomfortable :( I just want to let someone know because hosts dont know until someone says something.

Stunning Views and Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental! The location was excellent—close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and scenic. The layout of the property was thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax and enjoy the space. Inside, the amenities were well-maintained and added to the comfort of our stay.One downside was the lawn maintenance. The outdoor area has the potential to be a true highlight, but overgrown weeds partially blocked the otherwise breathtaking views from the hot tub and even made some paths difficult to use. We’d love to return once that’s addressed!

Overall the property is beautiful and quite the gem. Only recommendation is a little bit more on the cleaning as there were bugs and webs in all the corners. But, overall the stay was amazing.

Quiet Retreat

We enjoyed our time at "On Top of the World". Great views and comfy living spaces to chill and chat with family. If you plan on cooking meals, bring an extra pan and spatula. The cookware was a bit limited. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay put and relax.

Beautiful Getaway

We had such a great time at On Top of the World! We loved the cabin so much that we ended up canceling a trip into San Antonio just to spend more time together at the cabin playing games, either ones we had brought, or enjoying the foosball table downstairs. We did have one issue with hot water our first night, but the property management was super responsive and got that resolved quickly, and even called back the next day to check in on us. Even after that, the water could have stood to be a bit warmer. The one thing that we would change would be to add a mattress topper to the master bedroom, or otherwise replace the mattress. The bed there was very hard and uncomfortable, making a good nights rest exceptionally difficult. Overall though, it was a great place to relax with a beautiful mountain view. We would absolutely choose this location again!

Amazing views!

Outside area in back around decks could’ve used a little more love in my opinion. Inside could’ve been a tad cleaner. The main, important areas were clean. Just some cobwebs here and there in windowsills, etc. the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the privacy the home lended to guests from one another. Easy access into the home for those that find steps a challenge. The decks probably need a good inspection for safety. Views from living area & decks incredible. we really did enjoy the home and would stay again if we went to the area. It’s a great midway point between San Antonio and Austin.

Amazing Getaway

We LOVED our weekend stay! Plenty of room even if you have a bigger group. So many things for everyone to do! If the weather was better we would have spent all our time outside. You can see the lake in the distance, see deer on your drive up, and so much more! Would recommend On Top of the World to anyone!

On top of the world, indeed!

This is a beautiful property situated atop a large hillside. The layout was perfect for our group. We had plenty of space to spread out but also plenty of space to gather together. The property is well maintained and well appointed. The views from the deck were amazing. The peace and QUIET experienced were very rejuvenating. We did have to call the property mgr upon arrival bc the lockbox code did not work. But a quick phone call resolved the issue. I also had to call about the shower head in the master bath. I don’t know if it’s a water pressure issue or a shower head issue but the shower in the master was unusable. Luckily there were two other showers on the property.

Great house for large groups

This house easily accommodated 9 family members. The gameroom downstairs was perfect for the kids and we all loved playing foosball. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The view is amazing and we could see the lake. The back door lock is weird and we couldnt get it to lock.
