Bayou Liberty Waterfront Estate

Aislada finca de 8 acres frente al mar en Bayou Liberty. Esta impresionante propiedad cuenta con 400 pies de frente al mar. 20-25 minutos en bote al lago Pontchartrain y 40 minutos en auto a Nueva Orleans. Elevador de botes pequeños, kayaks y bicicletas para su uso. La propiedad se encuentra en el sendero para bicicletas Tammany Trace. 15 millas al parque estatal Fontainebleau y 20 minutos a orillas del lago Mandeville. Muy privado y perfecto para vacaciones familiares o fines de semana largos.

Me enorgullezco mucho en mi hogar. Este no es un alquiler de vacaciones típico, es mi segunda casa. Quiero que lo experimentes y lo disfrutes, pero cuídalo. Si no puede, no lo reserve. Relaxing Home Away from Home

Nice time in Louisiana

Great property owner was available and communicated with us promptly. We had a great time and loved the property. We recommend this to anyone that wants to stay close to New Orleans but not in the city. Thanks for sharing your home.

Plenty of property for adventure , old and comfortable like an antique rocking chair yet you could hit a golf ball from countless stores and restaurants and land in the gravel drive Good beds and great view of the bayou Some negatives but satisfied all the needs of resting our heads and chilling out

Peaceful bayou

Amazingly quiet yet just minutes from WalMart and restaurants. Relaxing walks along Tammany Trace. Beautiful glass walls in sunroom allowed nature viewing with indoor comfort. Owner was quick to respond to our needs.

New Years Get Away

for the most part all good, house needs pictures updated and back of the house needs more illumination on the rear part and thru-out the property and certainly check on the roaches a few here and there over all a nice cozy place and good location.

Charming home in a great location

This was an older home so it had some quirks but over all we really enjoyed our stay and plan to rent again next time we're in the area. I advise you to bring plug in fans if you require air circulation.

Historical charm

Wonderful historical house well furnished with a mix of age that lends to the character and charm of the dwelling. My wife was craving for historical information on the house. Area location is a bit secluded from city life but very close to restaurants and shopping. It was about a 30 min drive to New Orleans

Thanksgiving

A warm and cozy home steeped in nostalgic decor. The outdoor space was perfect for our family to enjoy fishing, kayaking and biking. The old pipes were a bit worrisome, and the old cooktop made cooking for our large group a challenge. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Really enjoyed our stay!!

This place was amazing. It was almost eerie with the fog coming off the bayou. The atmosphere was awesome. It was close enough to New Orleans to go do stuff but far enough away to not be bugged by the crowds. Perfect location for us. The house was old and quaint. My only complaint would be that one of the showers was unusable for showering because there wasn’t a a shower head in the one. But certainty wasn’t worth a negative rating. I would definitely stay there again.

We were very disappointed with the stay! There were cockroaches crawling in the floorThe showers were bad, the bath tub is poorly maintained. There were no cushions on the iron chairs at the fire-pit. We felt worried as we were spotting roaches on the floor. It was like an abandoned house.The lawn was not maintained. The floor was not clean. I will never ever book my stay again through Vrbo. I would not suggest anyone to book this place. I have video and photo proofs of cockroaches crawling on the floor. The hall was not air conditioned, it only has a fire place.The photos in the posting show a blue couch which was missing during our stayThe photos in the posting show red chairs, which were missing during out stayIt is not described as an old home in the description but the instruction sheet where house rules were written describes the home as an old home"It is not worth the money we paid""It doesn't match the description and pictures in the posting"We had a horrible experience for 2026 new year

Antique Beauty

This was a nice place to stay. I would recommend more lighting through the entrance and definitely, most certainly need a better address sign. Our GPS stated we were there but there was no sign in the street area or drive way to alert there is a property back there. In fact, if you turn too soon where the GPS states you are there you may wind up in a ditch These are hidden driveways, but there can still be a more visible sign to alert guest where to make the turn into the property. I encourage people to buy water case as the water is oily and it seems to be a thing in NOLA. The property is in good shape but, at night significantly dark. The location was near most stores and restaurant and close to the highway once you know your way around. It had a Victorian feel and it was definitely quaint and comfortable.

Very Eclectic

we were staying at the property as my family lives in Slidell and I was visiting from Wisconsin. I grew up in New Orleans, but I’ve been gone 30 years. It was nice to be able to be so close to their homes. The character of the home was outstanding. We really wanted to know a little bit more of the history of the home. To be honest, my only complaint would be the washer and dryer. I believe the washer is broken or the timing is off because it would literally go through two cycles, and we would try to put it on the setting possible. The dryer took forever to dry the clothes but we made due. It was worth it to our family to stay in this beautiful house.

Beautiful house and property

The bayou and home are beautiful. I waited a bit to leave this review because I wanted to give the host some grace to communicate with us about some situations that needed to be addressed. Before arrival he mentioned he was in hospital and apologized for his late response to questions. When we arrived there were problems with kayaks, bikes, and fireplace - to name a few. We reached out and never heard from him. I’ve reached out again and have still never heard from him. Our group left the place genuinely worried for him. I hope he is ok.
