The house was great, clean, right by the beach, near to the shops and restaurants (just a short drive) and had good amenities, including body boards which we absolutely loved using! The house informatation was very detailed, if a bit complicated to access via the guest portal. It would be easier if this information was on Vrbo rather than having to go to another source. The only thing we struggled with was the door entry. The door is stiff and we really struggled getting inside every time. Actually panicked a lot the first day as we could not get in and I couldn’t easily see how I could contact anyone for help (we were from Uk so had a data only sim so this wasn’t the fault of the agency). I do think that door needs looking at or some better instructions for getting it open!Other than that we had a really lovely stay.

Great property and great location. Property managers are responsive and easy to communicate with! It would be nice if there were a bit more comfortable seating in the living room and A/C, but other than that, everything was great! We'd stay there again.

overall a very nice place. Location is great. Garage parking is very convenient especially for the location. Four complaintsThere was hair (human hair) all over one of the heater vents. Kind of gross. I assume the cleaning crew just missed itThe shower faucet in the second bath is a bit confusing. I believe the first lever controls the water and the one behind it controls the temp.The beds are a little hard but that’s personal preference. I wish they supplied beach chairs and beach towels. Over all nice place.

Lovely place next to the beach

Clean, quiet and convenient. We enjoyed our 6 night stay here. 1 minute walk to the beach. Parking was never an issue (I did park in the small garage a few times).Ample hot water in the showers after ocean swimming. Well stocked kitchen, we prpared several meaks and grilled.

Good place, poor communication

Communication with the property manager was poor. I tried twice to reach out, once with a safety concern and once to ask about leaving early, and got no response.The place was not entirely clean when I arrived, trash in the bathroom was full and on the floor. Other than these two things, great place to stay.

Great!

Great location just steps from the beach, easy check in and out and very clean! Kids loved the beach toys and boogie boards! Would have loved to have additional beach towels available being that we are from out of town but listing was upfront about what was available and what wasn’t so definitely not something we were expecting :) would definitely stay with Burr White again!

Fantastic Beach Getaway Vacation

This place was perfect for our needs, it was quiet, easily accessible, garage parking, room to spare for the three of us. We felt very safe. We were able to easily drive to visit family and friends, and close to beach when we were able to just enjoy our time off. Fortunately close to Hoag Hospital for that unexpected trip to the ER (all is well.) I'd love to stay here again.

Lovely stay

We had a great stay. The location and space were great. Our rented camry fit fine in the garage. The check-in experience was fine, but the extensive questioning at the time of booking wasn't my favorite. Putting the sheets on the bed was not a big deal, but I hated to see that the sheets and towels were all wrapped in plastic, which is a lot of extra waste. The outdoor closet had several boogie boards, some toys, and two beach chairs when we were there.

Great location and a clean comfortable property.

Overall a great stay, but 3 things worth noting: 1. You are dealing with a vacation property management company rather than a private owner. 2. The garage is VERY small if you have a large vehicle, and there is no access directly into the unit from the garage. 3. This is a first floor unit with a resident occupying the unit above — you will hear footsteps on the stairs outside and upstairs. And 2 minor dings: 1. The laundry service drops off towels and bedding, and you will be making the beds upon arrival, and; 2. Because you’re dealing with a management company, this property is devoid of nice touches usually provided by private owners (e.,g., shampoos & soaps, coffees, hair dryer, no paper towels, etc.)

Close to the beach

This was a great clean area of Newport. The beach was super close and was super easy going back and forth to get things. My Toyota Sequoia was able to fit in the garage so that was nice. Had a washer and dryer in the garage which was great. Disneyland was only 20 min away. Place was updated and clean. Really loved this paly and it was the perfect trip. Thanks!

Awesome Location!

My family and I stayed here three nights for a recent trip in March. We chose Newport Beach as it was on the South side of LA (we were coming in from Joshua Tree NP) and wanted a place in easy driving distance to Disneyland. On those marks, this property met all the metrics. It was super easy to get to and driving to and from Disneyland was no problem. While we weren't there for the beach, it is a fantastic beach location! The beach is RIGHT there and jogging / biking distance to the Newport pier. Also, it's minutes away from shopping, and importantly a Trader Joes! The unit itself is really nice and met all our needs (family of four with a 12 & 13 year-old). HUGE tv!, great king bed, and a well appointed kitchen. The living room also comfortably fit four. Biggest drawback was hearing the neighbors above us. As this is a ground-floor unit, the people walking back and fourth on the floor above could be easily heard. Also, as previous reviewers have mentioned the garage is tiny! Our rented Kia Sorrento fit just fine, but you'd have real trouble fitting a mini van or full size SUV in there. Lastly, communication with rental agency was ok, but involved more logistics than we have typically experienced when using VRBO. It's evident that this is managed by a company rather than an individual home owner as they were very cautious when they would provide the door code. As we were coming in late that night, we wanted to make sure there would be no issues.

Fantastic Location

My family and I loved the location and the rental. It was only 1 block from the beach and that side of Balboa is traditionally quiet. The only issue we had was having to make our own beds once we checked in. We may rent the same unit again next year since we had such a great experience.
