“The room was excellent, bed was so comfortable that we slept in on our 1st night, leaving only 1 and a half hours to get ready for a wedding we were going to. “Would usually book a hotel as moving child to Newcastle Uni but due to home match and lots of other parents moving their kids in, hotels were thin on the ground! Picked the apartments and was pleasantly surprised. Ticked all the boxes and great to have a small kitchen. Had everything we needed. Only criticism would be a lack of bedside table/shelf and the sofa wasn’t the comfiest but it was all clean and functional. Will def recommend. ”

“This place was lovely. Clean and bright. Instructions to get in and once inside were very helpful. The only thing that bothered me was the 3 bins of glass bottles, mostly alcohol bottles that were over flowing onto the ground outside the gate, in the parking lot. They were there the day we checked in , already overflowing and only got worse as we stayed for 4 days. They should look into that because otherwise this place was everything we wantes while on our vacation. Lovely!!”

Some people might like a small but as we only ate breakfast in the property it wasn’t a big deal for us. We also appreciated the secure personal parking space. ”

This is the oldest water balanced funicular still in operation in the United Kingdom. Doesn’t cost much to ride and the carriages are decked out with stained glass. There are some lovely views from the top out over the pier and coast.

"Staff were exemplary and everything the room was spotless and bed very comfy. one criticism no complimentary water in the fridge and the furniture housing the fridge in need of repair ( doors wouldn’t close after opening). Meal in Fratello’s very good and staff very attentive."

"En general el hotel está bien, es de estilo clásico, es un hotel céntrico y las camas son cómodas. Como aspectos negativos decir que el parking del hotel es pequeño y en seguida se quedan sin plazas debiendo dejar el vehículo en el parking exterior de la estación de trenes que hay en frente. En nuestro caso nos encontramos con que la ducha no funcionaba correctamente, por un lado estaba atascado el desagüe, pero sobretodo que el magnetotermico de la ducha estaba estropeado y solo salia agua muy caliente por lo que ducharse fue una odisea."
