“Just arrived home from a 2 night stay at the woodlands hotel . Receptionist holly is very friendly and welcoming also helpful with information on places to visit. All the breakfast staff are polite everyone makes you feel welcome. Rooms are clean warm and comfortable Ideal base for lakes and towns . Did not want to leave will definatley stay again.”

“We had 2 amazing nights, sadly we weren't staying longer. The team were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and the cooked breakfast is not to be missed. We will definitely be back again to enjoy more of this superb hospitality. ”

“Greeted by the owner as we stepped through the front door, shown straight to our room which was immaculately clean then showed me were to park my car. Overall he was extremely helpful told us of a restaurant to go for an evening meal which turned out to be very good, breakfast was excellent. If I am passing that way again then I would definitely return.”

“I enjoyed my stay at Norcroft Guest House. The staff members are kind. I was able to check-in early and was so grateful for that. I was offered a slice of lemon cake on arrival (delicious!) and offered fruit to take on my last morning when I wasn't going to be there for breakfast. The breakfast was tasty and delivered to my room at the time I requested. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Penrith in the future. Thank you! My only suggestion would be an upgrade to the mattress and...

“If you ever go to the Lake District for hiking or whatever, consider going to Keswick. I've been traveling internationally and domestically for 47 years, but I've never experienced the hospitality that we received from Chris and Allison. To say they go the extra mile is an understatement. They go the extra 100. Every day Allison would make us a magnificent, home cooked breakfast, while Chris would actually walk us out to make sure we found the right route to the fell we were climbing that day....

“The hosts are wonderful. Friendly and helpful. They make a great breakfast. The facilities are very nice. The location is excellent. Within walking distance of the Bowness-On-Windermere high street but in a quiet area. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended. ”
