This house was exquisitely decorated on the inside and very beautiful and welcoming outside. The rooms were gorgeous, kitchen and floors were like new, and our dogs loved the doggy door! It was also very clean. There were extra supplies of TP and towels (well, more than we needed for a family of 5).
The house was more than "one block" from the beach... it was like a 5-10 min walk. It was within walking distance of restaurants and gift shops, but more like 10-15 min walk depending on how fast you can go.
What we did not like were the cameras. A minimum of 3 cameras were in the backyard, and we felt watched. There was a definite lack of privacy (and who knows who's looking through them at your kids or listening to conversations?).
Lastly, I did not feel comfortable leaving my two dogs off leash in the backyard bc while the fence seems secure, an animal had dug a hole under the fence, through which one of my dogs nearly escaped, and the shed was on short stilts. My two beagles tried repeatedly to get under the shed to the animal that resided under there and I was afraid they'd get stuck. The fenced in yard was a huge selling point for why we booked this house but I could not relax with my dogs being off leash.
Overall, however, the place was great. If you can get past the cameras, I do recommend it!
