Overall clean, Ocean view was amazing, great location! Unfortunately, no rocking chairs on the porch to sit and enjoy the ocean. There was cracked and broken plastic chairs to sit on that were made for pool side or beach not sitting on a porch. Mold on ceiling of the secondary bathroom, furniture is not sturdy, many had wobbly legs on them. The two couches in the living room were terribly uncomfortable. Also, had to bring my own linen because the washer and dryer was not working. My daughter got into her bed and there was sand in the sheets. The beds in general were not comfortable. The bedroom on the oceanside with two beds in it did not have a working ceiling fan. The front door had issues locking and there was a huge gap underneath the front door. We had issues with big water bugs, and I can only assume they were coming in from that gap at the bottom of the front door. The place overall seemed not cared for. It could be a great place if the owner would give it a little TLC!

Pros. Great location, easy access to grocery stores, shopping, beach, restaurants and activities. We loved the location and size of the property. Con’s. House was not as pictured in VRBO listing. The home is dated and several issues were apparent. .. such as; mold in both bathrooms, air return very dirty, outlets hanging from the wall, outlets in master bath did not work, ceiling light in same bedroom did not work, washing machine does drain,spin or agitate. Secondary bathroom had mold on ceiling and walls. Towel rack was broken away from the wall. The ocean front deck was enjoyed but there were only 4 chairs for 5 people and 3 of those were broken. We used our chairs and bought chairs while staying there so we could enjoy the ocean view. The back door keyless entry did work and the wall around the back door had damage noted by the crown molding. The front door would not remain closed unless it was locked and had a large gap at the bottom. The back deck had not been swept at all. It was full of sand when we arrived. That’s a lot of negatives but we feel these things should be addressed for future guests. We feel the home would be a great stay once repairs are made.

Good communication up front, we ran into some issues with washer and the communication slowed down.. when you have a short stay of 3 days.. missing a day is a big issue. When they did respond, they did let us in to the upper unit that was unoccuppied which was helpful. Plan to bring toilet paper/paper towels as the supplies were low and it seemed others had issue. Also a number of the chairs were broken (old plastic ones).. there are some nicer chairs but it seems you have to be the only ones in the place to then know to go get them from the other floor..

Nostalgic beach house directly on the beach with a fenced in courtyard for pets. Equipped with the necessities but no luxuries. Property would be well served by updates. Our family enjoyed the stay and the walkability to multiple stores and low-key restaurants. A quieter side of North Myrtle.

Nice but needs attention

We had a nice time. Fenced in yard was great for dogs. Steps from ocean. Overall nice house.Cons. AC could have been better in the two connecting bedrooms. Ceiling fan in one bedroom didn't work making that room warm.A few lightbulbs were out. Doors stick. No rocking chairs as pictured. No picnic table as pictured. Needed many minor fixes that would be so easy to fix if someone cared. Need more trash bags and towels. Outside was a little bit of a mess .Need a hose to shower sand off from beach. Small things but we had a nice time.

Disappointed

This is intended to be an honest review, not a bad one. The house is in a great location and very pet friendly. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. However, the house is not well maintained, outlets that don’t work, cover for furnace filter falls off, entry doors don’t feel secure, cracks in the paneling large enough to put your hand in. The furniture is terrible, so worn out that it’s actually uncomfortable. The main tv is actually placed where there is no seating. We were on the bottom level and I was looking forward to sitting in one of those rockers and enjoying the view. The only chairs on the deck were plastic chairs that sit so low the railing blocks the view. One wash cloth and one towel per person for 3 days, really? No shampoo or soap, no hair dryer, 1/2 roll of toilet paper with none extra, one trash bag for 3 days, shower curtain as thin as tissue. I’ve used Vrbo several times but was very disappointed this time.

Unacceptable

I have never stayed in such a bad VRBO. You all should really not accept them as a representative of your company . Many things were broken with very very minimum done There was obviously no pride in this property. It was clean, but did not make up for the horrible kitchen, uncomfortable furniture, and just overall rundowness of the place. I would never ever recommend this place toanyone. If this was my first stay at a VRBO, I would never use your company again.very disappointed.

Perfect Location!!!

Oceanfront home a short walk to the pier and Boulineau’s. It’s a classic Cherry Grove Cottage. It met all our needs! Clean, oceanfront surrounded by similar homes.

Our favorite pet friendly beach house to date!

This house being beach front and fully fenced in for tour 3 dogs was truly paradise. So nice to have a view from the lower deck and easy access to the beach. The host was so helpful in preparing us for our stay and keeping in contact as needed through our time at the house! We already have plans in the making to book the place for next year!

Beautiful location

We loved the gated deck so our dog could walk freely on the deck. She loved it too. She would lay there and look out at the ocean. I can’t believe how close the beach was. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back. The only thing is that the door lock was difficult to open and the back door code didn’t work. There are a few things that need touch up and repair but I would still love to come back.

If Only

This is an amazing location and ideal configuration for vacationing with a dog. Both the front and back decks are gated and secure for our pets. Ideal. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and state of repair are subpar. I wish it had been in better shape. And it could be.

Paying for location

Location was perfect, which is the most important thing. The place itself was fine, could use some TLC inside and out. All of the doors and handles stick, mold in the showers and the refrigerator struggles to keep things cool. Keep in mind… Nothing is provided except sheets and bath towels. There was 1 garbage bag and 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people. I knew to bring beach chairs but the people above us didn’t and assumed ours were for their use. Check out time seemed rather early based upon the amount of actual cleaning that gets done (based upon our arrival).

Wonderful place

Great time with wonderful access to the beach. Listing does say 12 and when we got there it said 10. We were 9 so it was all fine but I’m glad I didn’t add anyone to get to 12.

Great location!

Great location! Super close walk to the beach with plenty to do close by. The pier @ Cherry Grove is a short walk. The grocery store and restaurants are super close also. Great that pets are welcome as well.

Wonderful place to stay

Overall this was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful view and had plenty of room for all of us and our dogs. There was some mold in the bathrooms but other than that the place was pretty clean. Great location
