“They didn’t go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I know that many places have a binder of things to do nearby and instructions for prepping to leave. Some places also give a bottle of wine or cookies as a welcome gift. This place had a poorly flushing toilet and the flooring was in rough shape. Some planks need to be replaced because you’ll get your sock caught in one. There wasn’t any dish soap. It was very meh but it seemed clean and was a cheap place to crash for the night. ”

“I was in the area for one night for business and had my young granddaughter with me. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. Lots of apps available on the TV. Location is close to plenty of restaurants and the beach. The continental breakfast was very nicely set and had lots of variety. I plan on coming back NOT for business just so I can enjoy another stay. Highly recommend.”

“Super, super cute mid-century mod renovated cozy house, walking distance to many things in Colonial Beach. Located just off the main road, this is a great stay. “The location is generally in the middle of nowhere. But oddly enough, my friend and I came down to visit some friends we know who live in Locust Grove. It was a great trip. House was fantastic and the location was perfect right on the water. No issues with check-in. Great hosts. Great location and place.”
