Next door, the open-plan kitchen/diner features a modern kitchen with a range-style oven below a skylight, while a breakfast bar and dining table set the scene for mealtimes. Bring a paddleboard or kayak and set out to explore the River Bude from next to the property. It’s around a mile to the market town of Aylsham, which boasts an array of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. From here, you can hop on the historic Bure Valley Railway, a narrow-gauge track running to Wroxham at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. If you love National Trust properties, venture to nearby Blickling Estate (2 miles) to explore the gardens and historic house, birthplace of Anne Boleyn.
