“Beautiful room with great view of the lake, church and southern alps at Lake Tepako. Very modern, well furnished, and warm for our winter stay. Very close to cafes and restaurants. We stayed two nights for our visit and Heli hike to Mt Cook. Would definitely stay again.”

“The apartment is amazing! great views. The lounge, kitchen are very roomy and comfortable. Great location, walking distance to town. Unfortunately the beds have a very basic mattress, with a tired mattress topper/protector. It was so uncomfortable that i was at risk of getting a pressure sore on my hip and Im a normal sized 10 woman. For the caliber of appartment and price, the bed quality did not live up to any standard. ”

“Larchwood Motel is well located. However it is severely lacking in up-keep and maintenance. Upon entering the unit it was smelly - stale alcohol/smoke. We opened up the room (it was freezing) for 15 minutes or so to air it out. The curtains are shabby and ill fitting on some windows. The bathroom was adequate but again shabby, a soiled towel had been left on the hook from a previous stay. The one positive is that the bedding/beds were clean and crisp. “The apartment was well appointed, nice small kitchen with everything necessary for a short stay. Good size tv for the size of the lounge and a heatpump - that once we figured out how to get it going was effective as the temperature dropped quickly now we are headed into winter. Bed was comfortable and a good size room with large wardrobe, extra pillows and blankets. Overall a great little apartment with parking right outside.
