  • Welcome to Sand Castle! HUGE 5224 square foot home. 9 bedrooms, 6 1/2 baths, sleeps 26 people, elevator! Walk to beach! Saltwater Pool, hot tub, gourmet kitchen, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 2 sinks, gas stove with 4 burners, grill and griddle. Walk to restaurants! Oceanfront and waterway dining. Beautiful beach and sunsets! Boat docks, fishing pier and docks, golf club, tennis, soccer, basketball, parks, nature center. 15 min from Southport on Cape Fear River, waterfront dining, shops. Great for weddings, reunions, retreats*! Inquire about special pricing on last minute remaining dates.

The house is beautiful and clean. The owners are extremely friendly, and genuinely want you to have a comfortable stay. A little more attention to the small details will go a long way is making this a five-star property. Specifically, a little more attention to the kitchen small appliances, better quality knives (dull knives are very dangerous), and other small details. Provide toilet paper and paper towels.

Perfect for large groups

We had a family reunion here and it was a blast! The house had everything we needed, and the location was amazing. So close to the ocean, great beach town. We will definitely stay again!

Great house for big group!

We had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of room, loved the pool and hot tub, short walk (about 2 blocks) to the beach, and walkable to coffee, restaurant, surf shop, etc. Would definitely stay again!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Excellent location on Oak Island, house is clean, kitchen appliances are fantastic, backyard with pool and hot tub is wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Perfect Wedding Weekend

The house is amazing! There is so much room and everything is absolutely perfect! We had 23 people stay for a long weekend and had no issues! Larry and Rose are great to work with! We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

Perfect extended family home

We rented this beautiful home for our family to stay in during our son’s wedding. It was a wonderful experience being able to have parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins under the same roof. We had a lovely visit. It was large enough to accommodate us very comfortably with room to spare. Incredibly responsive hosts! Would highly recommend!

Fall Beach Trip

We had an absolutely wonderful time this past weekend! The beach is a short walk away, the kitchen is enormous and easily allowed several people to be cooking at the same time. I'd recommend this house for anyone's get together at the beach!

My fiance and I booked this house for a long weekend trip with all of our friends to celebrate our upcoming wedding and it was the perfect place for all of us! We had 22 people stay and everyone gave multiple compliments about how big and spacious every room was. The pictures truly do not even come close to showing how spacious every single room was. The pool and hot tub also made for a great time! The walkability to the beach access and great restaurants is truly amazing when traveling with such a big group. We even had a friend leave a shirt on accident and the owners are sending it back for free, even though we offered to pay for shipping. They truly are great communicators and made the whole check in and booking process simple. I would 100% book again!

The overall stay and property was great! There was plenty of room for our large family and the large kitchen was great for cooking. A couple of things we did notice was that some of the furniture in the living room and some of the beds could be replaced a few people did not sleep well due to the beds. Also the cleanliness could have been better. It appeared the cleaners just did a quick surface clean and there was mold in the some of the bathrooms. Overall though would stay there again.

Perfect for Girls Golf Getaway

There was so much space for people to be doing different activities in several areas of the house. Enough rooms and bathrooms that there was never any issues with any cramping of style. Highly recommend

Great property with space for everyone

This property is a short walk to the beach and has tons of space for gathering together or for having space to yourself. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Thanks to the owners for clear communication and quick responses for any questions.
