“Layout of the room could have been improved as could not use the couch and watch TV. TV was a bit small, tucked in the corner and too low to comfortably watch from the bed. Otherwise, clean, tidy and good service on arrival.”

“I had a wonderful stay at Pen-y-bryn Lodge. The property is a beautiful historic building with a peaceful atmosphere, and the room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru.”

“Owner really rude and aggressive, knocking on the door at 10.00 asking us to leave. Not 10.10 or 10.01. It seem he was waiting at the door looking at his watch. After I said ok, and even when he could see that my baby was half dressed, he knocked again 30 seconds later. In two months in New Zealand staying at different places I have never experienced such horrible behavior. ”

“We found a couple little bugs but other than that everything was fine, the bed was not as comfy but it was pretty good for one night ”
