The Footnote cottage was lovely... very clean, all amenities, comfortable beds and, surprisingly roomy for a small two bedroom cottage. There are water views from deck and master bedroom. The area has lots of little places to explore within 5-20 minutes if the cottage. A perfect getaway!

The cottage was lovely. Perfect for four or fewer people. Well appointed, very clean, great location with walks/hikes close by. Hike down the hill to the bay not too challenging or just enjoy the beautiful view from the deck. An additional light in the living room and a coffee pot, not just a K-cup maker would be nice.

Very pretty cabin in a quaint location

We loved our stay in Footnote. Very well appointed with everything you need. We stayed in early July and we’re a little worried about no AC when we got there on a hot day but we opened the windows to get the breeze and never missed it. Would definitely stay again if staying in the same area.

Sunset by the Bay

We loved staying in this cozy, beachy, bright cottage. Our favorite thing was sitting on the porch, drinking a glass of wine and watching the sunset over the bay.

Charming cottage

We had a lovely stay. This cottage is very well decorated mixing the old with new. We appreciate the updated kitchen and bathroom. Location worked well having family in the area. Lots to see and do.

Nice views in a quiet setting.

We enjoyed our stay at Footnote cottage. It was very clean and comfortable, and the décor was even nicer than the photos. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the water, although the trail was a bit more challenging than we had expected. Highly recommended overall.

Bayview Cottage Stay

We were in the area to visit friends and found this wonderful bay view property. The cottage was rustic and cozy which really gave us a great vibe for our Maine sea coast experience. The beds were super comfortable and everything in the house was neat and tidy. Our host, Sheri, was super responsive. We would definitely return in the future.

Views that are amazing.

Everything you need. Nice kitchen appliances if you like to cook. Bring K-Kups with you if you want coffee on arrival. Lots of birds ..beautiful sunsets. Nice Main bedroom. Nice warm shower. Did NOT like Roku for viewing local news at night. Could be the operator. Overall ... good location for day trips and enjoying the views.

Although it rained for .out of my stay the view is fantastic and the place is small palace. It is bright and sparkling. It rained the whole time but very conducive for reading and staring out the window at the bay. A large comfortable double bed made it hard to get up in the morning. Not far from large stairs down to the ocean beach. Great for walking gathering shells.

Charming cottage in beautiful setting

We arrived at the golden hour when the sun was heading for the horizon and the house looked like a place I wanted to live in forever. It was a good size for 4. The kitchen was a little tight if you want to prepare elaborate meals, but luckily we did not, and all the utensils we needed were available, except maybe a slotted spoon. The temperature was comfortable in late summer. The view from the deck was awesome and the other porch was a great place to read. Thanks for sharing your lovely cottage!

Beautiful spot on Orr's Island

We loved this place. It feels like home as soon as you enter with numerous small touches that make all the difference. We found there was plenty of room and comfortable seating. The kitchen is thoughtfully planned and well appointed. The beds are comfortable with water views from the bedrooms (and from the living room and kitchen). The deck is large and a great spot for morning yoga overlooking the water. The house is exceptionally clean and it is a very quiet location. From here, it is easy to explore all that the islands and peninsula have to offer while still having fairly quick access to Brunswick and a little further in either direction Portland, Rockland, Boothbay and Camden. Definitely recommend.

Spectacular

My stay was so spectacular that I lost track of days and wasn"t aware that check out day had already come so didn't succeed in getting the dishes loaded in the dishwasher. One tiny complaint. Several guests as well as myself tripped over the sudden step down into the bedroom. Perhaps put up a rail?
