Our handicap room was on the second floor and there is no elevator in the hotel. My husband can’t do the steps. They did change us to a regular room on first floor that had a bad odor as soon as you walked in the door.

I stayed at this property about a year ago and was disappointed in its deteriation. It seems that improvements have been made and cleanliness and overall feel has improved. Thank you.

Last resort hotel
The room smelt musky, the bathroom had multiple centipedes a night, the bathtub either needed replaced or deep bleach cleaning, and the bed had springs broken which made it uncomfortable.

We are currently taking measurements of the beds for replacement. We value your business and hope you will return to see our improvements.

Some opportunities for improvement
I was disappointed with my stay. The service was fine. When I got into my room one of the lamps did not work, the bathroom door did not close all the way, and there was an inch gap with the entry door and the wall leaving a space for the hallway light to come in. All of these together made it uncomfortable to feel safe as a single traveler.

Location was good, property was not. Would never stay there again. Hvac did not work properly, phone light kept coming on in the middle of the night, bed was super soft, too much so for our liking. Place smelled like animals. Middle of bed frame had a piece that sticks out, and smashed into my leg.

Thank you for taking the time fill out our survey, like we discussed this morning about the A/C unit if we would have known about it sooner we could have moved your room, again I'm sorry you hurt urself on the bedframe, we did get that pushed back into place. We are a pet friendly hotel and have serval people who stay with us that bring in their pets everyday, we shall try harder to make sure there is no lingering pet smell I do apologize about that as well. I can not do to much about the beds being to soft for you, we usually get praised on how nice and comfortable the beds are, so we obligated by corporate to only have the one kind. If you were so unpleased with your stay I would have loved to have known all this at check out when we spoke about the A/C and the phone, you had not expressed you were that unpleased, but again I do apologize about everything that went wrong for you and I do hope you will consider us for your next stay so that we may prove that our standards are very much accommodating to your needs and expectations. I sincerely hope you have a wonderful day.

Good night stay
It was good stay. Hotel bed and bathroom were clean. Check in was easy and next to a Walmart. We were there to watch a college football game.

Great experience! Great hotel! Very clean and had by far the best breakfast I have had I any hotel. I look forward to staying there again each year. I won't stay anywhere else.

Good overall, with exceptions
Room was clean, with new carpet, but had a vinegar cleaning solution smell, sprayed in room to kill any mold. Bathroom did not vent at all. Desk clerk said that was a problem in that particular room. Overall stay was good.

The little inn that could
Everspring takes good care of their property, and I would rank them with other hotels that I've paid twice to three times as much for. I will book a room there pretty much every time I am in Oskaloosa.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast options of eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, assorted breads, cereals, bacon or sausage,…. The place shows signs of aging but overall it was a pleasant stay.

The first room we were assigned to did not smell fresh, possibly a urine smell. The staff was very accommodating to give us a different room. The room we stayed in needed some care: broken window shade, air conditioning unit vents broken, bathroom floor tiles and grout cracked, broken, bathroom mirror edging cracked, toilet seat loose, etc. These may seem like small things, but it makes a difference in how one views the accommodations overall. The bed and bedding were fine. The continental breakfast was adequate if you like pancakes, eggs, and such in the hot breakfast offerings, but there were only two oranges in the fruit basket, no apples, bananas, or other fruit was available. Otherwise the dining area was clean and orderly.

The staff was excellent. This is an older property. The room was clean. Soapm shampoo and conditioner pumps in the shower and a small bottle of lotion on the counter and a bar of soap. Clean towels/ The property does not have wifi. Breakfast is from 0600-0900 so I missed the first day. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, packaged bagels and muffins and bread. Also pancakes. And coffee. Breakfast area was very clean. Coffee also available in the lobby and hot water and tea bags. even after breakfast. although the hot water ran out and was not replenished. Laundry available on-site. Vending machines for snacks. Plastic laundry bag not available in the room nor was there a pen in the desk drawer. Overall clean place to stay and I slept well. The price seemed a bit high.

The tub in the bathroom grossed out my wife. It looked like it must have leaked and they had poured something on an area where you would have sat but we both took showers. Room and hallway had a smell to them. Mattress and pillows were nice. Breakfast in the morning had a wide variety. Very good!

Good place for a weekend stay
The hotel was clean, quiteand nicely kept. The only thing I noticed was an overturned "smoking column" to place "used butts" beside the secondary entrance. Our room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of selection. My husband got pancakes, but some older couples seemed to have trouple woeking the "automatic" pancake maker.

Great motel for the price! Friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable bed, and a Walmart next door. The downside was that the treadmills didn’t work in the fitness room and there was a mildew odor in our room. The odor wasn’t bad enough to have to change rooms so I would stay here again.
