It was more expensive than a hotel, but it had plenty of space for the 3 of us (with room to spare - we could have easily fit 2-3 more people) and it offered a safe, quiet, and comfortable retreat after each day of SO many steps (and sometimes rain). “Wir haben ein paar Tage in der Maastricht Marina auf einem der Hausboote verbracht und konnten uns gut erholen. Das Hausboot war gut ausgestattet und die Mitarbeiter überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.Das zusätzlich angebotene Frühstück direkt ans Boot war reichlich und lecker. Schön fanden wir auch das angebotene Wassertaxi (gegen Aufpreis) in die Stadt. Immer gern wieder. ”

“We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building.”
