Overall not a great place. It is very run down and not necessarily very clean.Once you check in the threatening emails start for broken/missing items. When we got there the remotes are all missing their backs, the fridge drawers are all broken and won't open. The faucet drain stops were all broken & didn't work. There were light bulbs burned out in several places. The TV remotes barely worked.That may seem silly, but not when we had 3 rainy days. The pool wasn't heated for 2 whole days.The whole place was overall run down. Paint peeling off all the cabinets, every light fixture rusted, toilet paper holders corroded. I know there sale, but simple white plastic would look better than the corrosion.The shower heads scream at you the whole time, no joke. They follow you on camera in the pool area.Coming from the beach we may not have on our bracelets and before we can sit and get them out of our bags we were being approached. Overall just doesn't feel like you're on vacay. It feels like the Saban commercials of being watched and threatened.

The unit needs a thorough cleaning! The sliding balcony door was very hard to open from all the sand in the track. The floors have not been cleaned under the furniture in the living room, you could see the dust under the chairs. The master bathroom tub was slimy when first used which was nasty being in who knows what made it that way. You also can't flush the toilet without the pipes making a loud screeching noise. Talk about annoying in the middle of the night! The stove is filthy, a good cleaner and razor scraper would get all the gunk off the glass stovetop. The air vent in the kitchen on the ceiling was moldy, which I immediately reported to maintenance but nothing was done about it. The guest bathroom door handle was broken, you couldn't get in the bathroom except through the bedroom which made it awkward. I reported this to maintenance and they did replace the handle. The front bedroom with bunkbeds was hot and had no closet. We changed the air filter and the air flow was much better! The filter that was in there was nasty. The trim around the entrance door is coming off, again simple routine maintenance. The dresser drawers, in every room, are off the track and fall out if your not careful. Overall, the owners should be ashamed for not inspecting the work being done by the property management company. The location is perfect, we love being higher up to watch the sea life. I will stay at Calypso again but never this unit.

Perfect location

My family was very happy with this condo. Plenty of room for a family of 5 and great location if wanting to be close (couple minute walk) to Pier Park. We would definitely stay here again!

October Stay

Location is great--we loved being on the 15th floor. Balcony was great size but could use another side table if more than 4 people. Living room furniture looked newer and was very comfortable. Kitchen has most items necessary for the stay. Beds were comfortable although they squeaked when getting in and out. 2nd bathroom needs fixed--toilet is off the base so rocks back and forth; sink faucet sprays rather than streams. Condo could use a good deep clean. Overall stay was great and we loved the area!

Awful Unit

This unit is not taken care of by the owner or property management as well as it should be. Front door needs replaced. We felt unsafe and used the door chain. Bedrooms both had a tv but no working remotes and I needed to request a remote as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t charged the $75 fee for a remote missing. Unit smelled clean upon arrival Unit was very dusty. Lamp shades had dust bunnies on them. Centerpieces had dust on them. Cieling vents had dust caked on ceiling. Patio door in living room is very hard to open. Husband had a hard time opening too. We used the main bedroom patio door. Refrigerator bin is cracked and shelf not secure. Ran the dishwasher 3 times only for the same load only to figure out that no water runs into the dishwasher! I had to do a weeks worth of dishes by hand on vacation. I don’t even wash my own dishes at home by hand, I use my working dishwasher. Both mattresses were hard and squeak plus back hurt. Called maintenance about the second bathroom toilet. Each time you sat on it, it would actually move and be loud. Maintenance came up and tightened the screws. That didn’t help at all. This unit needs an overhaul. Needs painted, new trim, new toilet and shower/tub (mold) caulking. Closet door handles are missing. Holes in doors in bathroom. Kitchen cabinets need handles. Needs new appliances that work properly. Ice maker gets clogged too. The only positive is the location to the beautiful beach and Pier Park. Not worth the money!

Dresser in master bedroom was missing drawer front second bathroom vanity was missing drawer front. Light in hallway flickered and could not be used. Refrigerator had broken door shelf. Kitchen sink may be leaking underneath. Mattresses need to be replaced.

Nice Spring Break

The condo was just like it said. A couple of things I would add is a new mattress in the master bedroom. We actually bought a topper for it because it wasnt very good. Also maybe buy cooking stuff. We cook breakfest and no cooking sheets to bake on. We would more than likely stay again because overall it was big and nice with enough room for what we needed.

The location was great. The condo was out dated and the beds were horribly loud. Couldn't wait to get home to my own bed. The condo wasn't worth the money but the Tiki bar at the resort and the location by Pier Park made up for the lack luster condo.

Great location. Could use some TLC

We've stayed in several units at Calypso over the last 10 years and this one could definitely use some TLC. The door handle is loose. Maintenence had to come out and fix the handle as it would not open one evening. There are several little things that need repaired. One of the recliners is broken, the red and of white chair has a metal piece coming out of the back, one of the kitchen bar chairs is broken if you try to grab it by the middle piece, one of the refrigerator shelves in the door is broken on one side, the curtain rod in th hall bathroom needs tightened, holes in the bunk room wall need filled, and the beds in the master and 2nd bedroom squeak with the slightest movement. Its was nice to have 2 king beds and the bunks are nice as they are full size with a trundle if needed. You don't see those options in many other units. Locations is perfect and Calypso resort has a lot to offer. Will definitely stay at Calypso again but not this unit unless it's been updated and repaired.

Needs attention

We loved our room. However there were some issues. Dishwasher full pizza pan in oven kitchen counters not clean. Commodes need cleaning Tile in bathroom dirty. Bathroom door handle doesn’t work Refrigerator handle sticky pantry door handle loose daylight can be seen under door so critters can come in and did I am not complaining as a owner at summit I welcome when things need attention. There was plenty of pots pans but only 3 bowls for cereal and only 1 big bowl Casserole dishes would be nice. The cleaning lady clean our unit in 40 minutes I guess that explains a lot of this. We would love to stay next year in May and Oct

Great Location

This place was in the perfect location. Just a short walk to the pier and Pier Park. There were many restaurants to choose from. Super Walmart was also just a few blocks away which was really handy. We had plenty of room in the condo for the the five of us. The only negatives was when we arrived, the place was not cleaned very well. There was sand everywhere. I know we are at the beach, but it should have been swept or vacuumed up. The balcony had sand piled up in spots. I tried to sweep up some of it myself throughout our stay but they have the worst dust pan in the world. If the cleaning people are using that, then I understand why they couldn’t get it all up. But still no excuse when there is sand all piled up under the furniture. The kitchen was missing a few items that people would need like a pizza cutter. Pizza is definitely people eat on vacation because it’s cheap and can feed multiple people. Other than those few things, it was a nice condo and we had a great vacation.

Very Outdated

We were thankful for beautiful weather that only had us changing/sleeping in our condo. We thought by some recent reviews that things were updated but they were not. Scuffs/dings all over. Very old outdated furniture. The bed in the master was not good. You could not roll over without it making noises. When we left I ran into the cleaning lady and showed her the ice dispenser in the door. We were unable to use it because it was black and molded. We had to get ice out of the bucket in the actual freezer if we wanted any. Hoping since I actually showed her, it was taken care of before next visitors. We did not message during our stay because it wasn’t anything that could be changed at the time. I just hope the owners update things and ask the cleaners to clean the floors better before next guests arrive. The light in the master bath (one was burnt out and the other flickers). I know you have no control over beach chairs but we ended up with chairs in the 4th row when day 1 we were second row, they didn’t save our chairs in the system so we ended up getting yelled out by the lady that was then assigned our chairs the next day. I would suggest just assigning chairs daily instead of all week since everyone doesn’t use them every day.
