Beautiful condo/resort, disappointing check in process

This was our 6th time staying at High Pointe resort. The condo was gorgeous and as advertised. Clean and well stocked. However this was the first time we have stayed here and were not able to use the resort property until after we gained access to our condo. We have always been able to gain access to the property/pool/beach prior to our condo being ready. We couldn’t even park our car inside the gates. We arrived at 10:30am and couldn’t gain access until 3:30pm when our condo was ready. This was incredibly inconvenient for our family after a long road trip. Most resorts allow access to the property prior to room/condo being ready. Other than that, it was an amazing stay. We love High Pointe!

Ideal Location, Beautiful Condo

Property is ideally located within a 10 minute walk to downtown Rosemary Beach, and about the same bike ride to Alys Beach. This is critical because there is little parking in these downtown areas. The property is gated, and will not allow outside guests to visit if renting. One key item to understand by the entire RB/AB area - every beach access to gated for residents. There is no public access point. So, you will have great access to the beach with this rental. As of Nov 2024, the HP buildings not on the water are being renovated (exterior) - this looks like a long-term project. It is not a noise issue or disturbance with the waterfront East & West Buildings, but would be for rentals in the other buildings or if using the pool. All the renovations are being done the poolside at the moment. 44W was perfect - clean and well stocked for a rental. 30A Luxury Vacations was very attentive & responsive. I would definitely recommend this location. We visited during the offseason - so, during the week was quiet in the area, then really picked up over the weekend. Something to keep in mind when visiting.

Fantastic Unit in Great Location

The unit was fantastic. Very minimalist design which is perfect for a condo on the beach because it’s easy to keep clean. All bedding was freshly laundered, including duvets which is so nice compared to other places I’ve stayed. The location was fantastic. This was our first time staying on 30A and didn’t know where to stay. We lucked out with our selection. We were there for the week of July 4th, so the area was very crowded, but we were in the first row of chairs on the beach everyday. High Pointe’s property is wide enough for the number of units it has to prevent overcrowding on the beach. The umbrellas set up on either side of the property were three to five deep depending on the day while High Pointe was mostly single row with an area of two rows. Make sure to bring an armband with you everywhere you go, even in your car. We knew you needed them to access the beach, but we ran an errand one night and the guard at the front gate wasn’t there when we returned. A moment of panic followed when we realized we had no way in, as the guard always waved us in previously. Luckily the guard returned after a few minutes and let us through.

Perfection

We have stayed in the area for years and now we have a new favorite. Worth the extra cost for the location, amenities and convenience. No scramble on the beach for chairs and such ease getting in and out. The condo itself was beautiful and so comfortable

Great Vacation!

We had such a lovely time at High Pointe! The location was perfect. We could walk to the shops and restaurants in Rosemary... and it was just a short drive to the local grocery stores! The unit 44W was gorgeous. It had been renovated recently and was perfect for 5 people. When we arrived, the unit was clean and everything inside was is great working order. We didn't love the ROKU TV in the family room... but we had plenty of games and distractions. You cannot beat the easy access to the pool, beach and Crabby Steve's. The fact that this property has it's own beachside restaurant on site is AMAZING! And the food is delicious! Thanks for a great stay and we will definitely be back!

The VIEW!!

This was our family’s first true oceanfront/view property we stayed in and we fell in love. The property was very clean and actually better than the pictures. They have renovated the entire place and looks much better. We spent a quite a bit of time in the living room and balcony enjoying the view when we weren’t out at the beach or pool. This place is definitely a favorite and will come back to this exact same place for our next trip to seacrest beach.

Great view but could use TLC

The location of this condo is wonderfull and the view is fantastic.. The balcony has a good seating area and the condo was clean. Some of the things that could be improved….the beds are hard (they all need mattress toppers) and not all the outlets work. If you want to plug in your computer in the living room, you will have to unplug the lamp. The internet is slow. There is no outlet at the master bath vanity. It feels like it was set up as a rental only and no one has given it much TLC.

Kitchen and Beds

This condo has so much potential! If you want to sleep, forget it. Beds were terrible and the construction was miserable. The kitchen doesn't even have essential baking needs such as a cookie sheet. We called and they brought us one 2 hours later. You can not even bake cinnamon rolls in this condo. A few added things above could make this a wonderful place.

Great view/comfortable beds/nice showers/but a few frustrations

This is our third stay at High Pointe and our first time in W44. Pros: This property is ocean front with an amazing view. On the top floor, so no noise from above. Vaulted ceiling in the main room. The two things most important to my husband and me are a comfortable bed, and good water pressure in the shower and this has both. Modern kitchen. Crabby Steve's is just steps away for great food/drinks. Cons: When I booked, and at the time of this review, there is a shower pictured in the listing that does not exist in this unit. There are only two showers, and three are pictured. There was dust on baseboards and furniture that you could draw a line in with your finger. There are double doors leading to the master bathroom that have handles on the outside - if you want to close them for privacy, you can't do it from inside the bathroom (so someone outside the door has to close them for you, or you just have doors that don't close). There is no outlet anywhere in the "room" with the bathroom counter to plug in a hairdryer, etc. All walls are covered with mirrors and it seems that a light switch was added on top of the side mirror as an afterthought. The one bathroom outlet is in a "cubby" area outside of the shower at the very bottom of a wall. There is a piece of furniture there with a mirror, but if you don't have a long cord on your hairdryer you may have trouble drying your hair. The lighting in that cubby is also bad. It makes no sense that they covered side walls that would normally have outlets above the bathroom counter with mirrors. You may want to pack an extension cord for your hairdryer. The tv seems to be old and the picture is grainy. We watched a March Madness ballgame on a tv with a clear picture in a friend's unit, and came "home" to be disappointed with a grainy picture on the one in our unit. Overall, we'd stay in this unit again due to comfortable beds and good shower pressure. Our "complaints" weren't a huge issue for us, but maybe the owners will see this and address the problems.

Enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed the location! On the beach and close to shops, restaurants. The condo was clean and nice. Perfect for a family of four. Few things about the condo that could be fixed: - the master shower was clogged and we were showering in 1/2 in of water - there were no sheet pans in the kitchen to cook something in the oven - the lights flicker in the main room unless dimmer is not being used - television is old school—-no guide, no smart tv

Needs to be cleaner for the rate charged.

We noticed a few things when we arrived. There was garbage in the kitchen waste basket and there were no extra trach bags left in the unit. All three ceiling fans were caked with dust to the point I got up on the bed and cleaned 2 of them. I couldn't reach the third. The toaster oven had something in it that should have been cleaned. It started smoking so we unplugged it. I have stayed in three units in High Pointe and this one was disappointing for the rate charged. Finally, the gate code was changed on Sunday and no message was sent with the new code for the front and beach gates. I had to call the property manager and then the security office to get it.

Anniversary Getaway

The location of the condo was perfect with an amazing view. Getting to beach & pool was just steps away. Would definitely stay here again & highly recommend! Do bring your beach towels.

Picture perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at High Pointe 44W. The property's close proximity to Rosemary and Alys make for epic bicycling adventures and easy travel to local restaurants and shops. The bar, Crabby Steve's located on the beach is a MAJOR plus. Even in a pandemic we still had a great time and managed to socially distance with no issues. Took the stairs instead of the elevator and wore our masks inside shops. Ate at a FAB poolside restaurant in Alys called, Caliza on our last evening. Just perfect! If you're worried about travelling during Covid, this is an excellent choice because you really have no issues keeping your distance.
