“The Snug was very comfortable and well equipped. It was also very clean. I could not work the shower but I did not contact the owner so I am sure it would have been sorted if I had. It was only three nights and there was a bath so I did not. It was well located, quite near to Matlock Bath. The bed was comfortable and it was well decorated throughout. ”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. “Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out.”
