  • Named “Koketsu” (Japanese for “nothing ventured nothing gained”), you will enjoy a, beautifully decorated serene and warm home environment
    Enjoy close-up views of the Pacific Ocean from the Living Room, Dining Room, Den, Kitchen and Master Bedroom Suite (which includes a sunken tub, outdoor shower and adjacent hot tub).

    There are two guest-suites (twin or king configuration); one with shower; one with bath and shower.

    Guesthouse has king configuration and both shower and bath.

    Ideal for 4 couples with each bedroom having outside entrance.

    All bedrooms face upon an internal courtyard which surrounds a lovely koi pond. Young children must be monitored when near the water.

    Koketsu has its own gated entry from Spyglass Hill Road. A NO SHOE and NO Smoking policy applies to all interior spaces.
    The non-resident House Manager will assure your check-in is smooth and your stay a most enjoyable one.

Stunning!

Our group of four couples stayed here for an extended weekend and were very comfortable. The home itself is magnificent with four bedrooms all featiring ensuitebathrooms.

Perfect Pebble Beach getaway

Spent the week here during the US Open golf tournament at Pebble Beach. House was amazing. Spectacular views, and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your time here. Love the Japanese decor.

Perfect backdrop for family gathering

Gorgeous views in a quiet and beautiful home on 17 mile drive. Lovely Japanese garden and decor in a well equipped house. Our host, Cheryl was super responsive to our questions. Great stay, planning to book again next year!

Beautiful property, excellent location

Our family had an absolutely fantastic stay here! The property was gorgeous with an awesome location, close to Monterey, Carmel and Laguna Seca. The common areas are relaxing with beautiful views and the bedrooms are large and private (master bedroom ocean view is stunning). The kitchen was well equipped and a great gathering spot. The property manager, Cheryl, was responsive, friendly and extremely helpful. The koi and local wildlife were great to watch, and the beach right across the road made for a lovely stroll. We will be back!

Spectacular Property

We have stayed here multiple times. One of the most scenic spots in the world and the views from the property are spectacular. Kitchen is amazing. Everything you would need. Each of the four rooms is distinct and separate from the others for privacy. The property manager is a joy to work with. It doesn't get any better than this.

Beautiful Home in an Amazing Setting

Views from Koketsu are even better than pictured. What a fantastic spot to spend a week, or more. Michael is very fortunate to have a superb house manager, Cheryl, who meets our every need seamlessly. Wonderful dining in Carmel, with accommodations that were outstanding. Koi thriving, and fabulous secluded hot tub enjoying listening to the waves. Thanks – we hope to return. The Webb's & Extended Family

Once you walk in and are greeted with the ocean views, it is amazing! Every room has privacy and each one feels like a master bedroom retreat. The manager is extremely responsive and helpful! Would love to come back and stay again!

Beautiful Zen Home & Perfect Getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful and magical 2018 holiday stay at the Koketsu house. The house is unique, one of the most beautiful homes at which I have ever stayed. The Japanese-inspired house is a short walking distance to the beach, and close to the Pebble Beach Golf Courses. My family enjoyed cooking meals in its well-equipped kitchen, and most of the house has wide windows, overlooking at the fantastic views of the ocean; from the house, one can hear the ocean crashing upon the shore, and sometimes even barking seals. I also liked the no-shoes in the house policy. In the front courtyard there is a large Zen garden, koi pond with friendly fishes, and a hot tub on the side of the house. There are three other suites in the household, detached but accessible to the main house. These rooms are like hotel suites, equipped with kitchenette and private bathrooms. The house is furnished in a tasteful orientalism contemporary style, with all the amenities. The master bedroom has a gorgeous view of the ocean and a sunken Japanese tub, and the stone flooring underneath heats from below. When I saw the house in person, it was better than I expected, and you won’t be disappointed if you rent this place.

Fantastic home in fantastic location

We have stayed here on several occasions and it never fails to deliver. Comfortable and well kept; well managed; great location and scenery; and usually perfect weather. Close to all the Pebble Beach public amenities such as golf and food and beverage and not far from Carmel and Pacific Grove with day trips to Big Sur accessible. It does not allow shoes because they scratch the wooden floor. Keep it nice and clean for others.
