It was a great property. We didn't take advantage of many of the amenities, but what we saw and experienced was great! Nice secure system with requirements to only enter with a permit.

Great Location, Super Comfortable

We had a fantastic stay! The place was super clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and even had an air fryer! We loved relaxing on the swing in the screened-in deck, and our 15-month-old did, too. The fan kept the air cool and comfortable.The beds were great, and the whole place felt cozy and well cared for. The walk to the beach was easy and manageable, even with a wagon full of gear and a baby. We did take the shuttle once, which was also very convenient. The pools were a nice bonus!We’d give this place 6 out of 5 stars if we could. No complaints at all. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Home away from home!

We stayed for 8 nights, it was very homey and well stocked with necessities! The only downside is the we didn't realize the townhouse was 3 floors (our mistake as townhomes are typically 2 floors in our area; we thought it was lower level entry and everything would be on 2nd floor). Our host was very quick to respond to questions we had. We will definitely be staying again in the future!

Just perfect!

This listing was wonderful. It had everything that we needed to feel at home. We didn’t want to leave ! Close to the beach. Swimming pool was wonderful , and the shuttle was really easy. We will be back!

July 4th Family Getaway

Couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay at The Commodore’s Son. Super clean home, comfortable accommodations, nicely decorated, exactly as shown in the pictures online. Very relaxing stay, just what we needed. The owners were very easy to communicate with and responsive to email communication. This will be our go to property next time we visit the area. The only problem, which is out of their control is that the resort was down a shuttle to the beach club so made it a little challenging for guests to get to and from the beach but that won’t keep us from coming back.

Beautiful stay

Furnished with basic necessities. Wonderful location and the porch was just perfect! Unfortunately due to the position of the townhouse, the gulf breeze isn’t felt much from the porch or patio, but this didn’t effect us having a great time! Only downfall was the keep parked in the garage. We rented a golf cart for our stay and had to keep moving our personal vehicle throughout the day to park the golf cart inside the garage (per HOA rules). I believe we could have pulled our vehicle completely in had it not been for the jeep parked there. But this was only a inconvenience. Overall great property.

Nice neighborhood

Nice townhome. Quiet neighborhood. Shuttle back and forth to the beach was easy, reliable and appreciated. Pack beach chairs, toys and umbrellas as the beach service was only offered on Saturday and Sunday (the first week of April).

Amazing home, average amenities

The home we stayed in was absolutely perfect and pristine. Everything had been thought of, and you could tell they made a conscious effort to make the stay perfect. Sadly, the property that this home is tied to is more of an retirement community than a vacation area. No coolers allowed on the beach, pool didn't have alot of parking options, no parking at the beach, and you were told to get off the beach at either 5:30, 6, 7:30 or 9 depending on who was out working on the beach. Felt like we were infringing on everyone and not welcome in the least. The golf course on property was also subpar and very high priced for what it was. 105 Bucks for 18 holes.

Excellent Townhouse

We stayed in this condo as a family of four (our kids are two and five). The layout was perfect for us to spread out and gave each of us a place to relax. The swing on the deck was my wife's favorite spot. The beach house was perfect for what we needed and the chairs and umbrellas were amazing. Everyone we came into contact with from Lost Key was so nice - from the beach club staff to the shuttle driver. I will say - the condo is exactly as described - a couples retreat. For our young family, we had to be very careful with some of the decorations and furnishings (glass table, leather chairs, record player, fragile decorations, etc.). Don't get me wrong - the decorations and furnishings are beautiful - we just had to work hard to keep them beautiful. Also - if we didn't catch the shuttle we drove to the beach. While it may seem walkable, with little kids, it wasn't really. If it were just my wife and I, we could have, but not with little kids.

Top Notch

Dan & Patty's property is lovely. The decor and amenities are exactly as described and pictured. Apparently there is a chef in their family as the kitchen is wonderfully outfitted. I had taken my chef's knife, cutting board, few other items but only used the cutting board (prefer my own). The king sized bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the large walk-in shower and roomy master bath. Also their screened porch is wonderful! Love their big, low comfy swing for coffee, cocktail time, naps, and the 2 chairs were super comfortable as well. The entire townhouse was very nice!! Would definitely rent again!!
