Lake House ~~ North
Retiro frente al mar, le da la bienvenida al paraíso. En el río Susquehanna, el lago Aldred es un lago de ocho millas de largo entre dos represas en el sur del condado de Lancaster. Ven y relájate y mira a las águilas (hogar de 8 nidos de águilas) que tendrás avistamientos diarios. El lugar perfecto para disfrutar con tus actividades favoritas; canotaje, pesca, senderismo, tiendas outlet, país Amish. Relájese en el plano de planta abierto; sala de estar con la vista perfecta, también disfruta viendo una gran televisión con reproductor de DVD, cocina totalmente equipada, microondas, lavavajillas. Baño completo con bañeras en ambos pisos. El dormitorio 1 tiene una cama king size, TV y el dormitorio 2 tiene una cama queen size, TV. Baño en el segundo piso también incluye una lavadora y secadora, tabla de planchar, secador de pelo. Cama de aire opcional para personas adicionales disponibles. (Nota; # 868495 - propiedad contigua para reuniones más grandes * precios disponibles, 10 personas adicionales, lo que lo convierte en una opción de 5 dormitorios).

El lago está rodeado por la Reserva Holtwood; La reserva natural de Shenk's Ferry (una de las mejores del noreste) y la reserva natural de Tucquan Glen, Pinnacle Overlook, están a menos de 8 km. El sendero Conestoga atraviesa Pequea y se une al sistema de senderos Mason Dixon. We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home by the lake. The setting was peaceful and serene—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house was well-equipped, and had a charming feel that made it feel like a true escape from the everyday. . I loved waking up to the view of the lake in the morning. The entire home was so neat and clean. Check in/check out was super easy. Everything was as described and even better in person. We can’t wait to stay again!

Easy check in. Clean spacious house with phenomenal views of the water. Everything we needed. Just bring clothes toiletries. Comfy beds and not too far from town. Owners are near by if needed and very accommodating. Easy access to the lake. The grounds are beautiful and the Train barley ever came through and sounds dull noise in house. No worries there. Enjoy! We sure did.

We rented the right half of house. Property was clean and right on the lake with hiking trails and boat launch just around each corner. Would definitely stay here again. Only downfall is nearby train goes through often and location is about 30 minutes from shopping and restaurants. Parking at house is only for one small car, others must park in a lot about two houses down the road.

This was a great place to stay overlooking the Susquehanna! Brian and his mom were wonderful to work with, and I so appreciated them sharing some of their knowledge of Pequea with me. I loved watching the eagles in the trees right next to the house and the ever-changing clouds and light on the river! My favorite hiking trail is up the street. I enjoyed the trains going by, too. It was all together a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and I hope to go back soon!

we really like this property. the property owner even let us check in early, which we really appreciate. they salted and shoveled the porch when we got snow and ice. property is clean, nicely furnished and we love the lake and the trains! will definitely be returning.

Great accommodations. Great view of the river. The train that someone mentioned in a previous review? Not even remotely a bother - kinda of cool! Home away from home, stayed here about 21 days. Will stay here again for sure.

Peque We arrived around 6:30pm. It was pitch dark. We opened the front door and were very impressed by the cleanliness of the property. We were immediately met by a stale mothball scent. We had a startling realization that we couldn’t open the windows. The owner had removed all of the handles to crank the windows open. He told us this himself. It gave an overwhelming feeling of being trap with no fresh air. I can’t imagine this is not a safety violation. Within 15 minutes of arrival there was a loud knock at our door. The owner told us we needed to move our cars out of the driveway, so he could get his car out of the garage. We were directed to move a car to the one parking space in-front of the house. The other car was to be parked in the ‘overflow’, which was 100 feet down the dark road with no light or sidewalk. We needed to walk on the dark winding road. When we went upstairs, we were shocked by the more than 7 inch step up to get into the bathroom. It was a real safety concern. The sectional couch was a fantastic place for a cozy evening of laughter and fun. In the morning, it was an incredibly peaceful view from the master bed! They played down the fact that the railroad tracks were about 75 feet off the back of the house between the house and the lake with freight trains that ran at night and are closer than the over flow parking. Overall, you can’t keep a girls weekend down, but we will not be back.
