“Very traditional and pretty inn in the heart of Pickering. Perfect location to explore the moors, and the heritage railway station is just down the street. The food in the restaurant is really good, as is breakfast.”

“The staff were very profesional and very helpful. The hotel was very expensive for the dated decor and chipped paint and cleanliness wasn’t great The furniture was very dated as well.”

“This is the second time staying at lea’s cottage , & on both times I’ve never been disappointed. rms are spotlessly clean, good choice of breakfast options,& evening meals where exceptional, & all staff are really nice ,would definitely recommend staying at Lea’s cottage & l will definitely return next year”

“Cracking proper pub with proper grub and bitter”

“We had a one night stop here in October. The room had been redecorated reasonably recently, the bathroom also looked very modern, all very clean. A new mattress wouldn't go amiss though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, for our evening meal we had a pizza, which was ok, it was tasty and very filling. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment. The absolute best thing about this hotel is sitting outside the front having a drink and admiring a stunning view! That alone would bring us...

“An excellent cottage, with everything to make it feel like home. Conveniently situated, near the centre of the Market town.”

“A great location. We stayed in a glamping pod and had a lovely time. Clean and all you need for a few days. Local shop 5 mins drive away to get anything you need”

“Lovely property, in a small settlement of varied pods and cabins, arranged to ensure privacy. Great location, close to both Pickering and Thornton le Dale. We are foster carers and needed a break with our very small youngster and the pod suited us perfectly - there was even a song thrush singing to us every evening!”

“Good location, clean, parking good although one parking space was occupied by someone from another property occasionally”

“The pod we stayed in was beautifully clean and well maintained. It had lovely little touches like a small milk in the fridge waiting for when you arrived, each bed space had its own towels (including bath towels) so that was a nice touch also. The only thing I would recommend is that the view from the front of the pod isn’t the same on the photos due to new lodges being built so when we got there it was a little disappointing not to have that view and just a little suggestion now new lodges are...

“Great accommodation as advertised. ”

“The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and beautifully furnished. It is located in an ideal position in the town and Pickering is a good base for exploring the North Yorkshire moors.”
